  3. I do it to compensate for my small weiner
  4. It is not a lie, I don't care for the way they sound and are one of if not the worst I've heard. It is not the enclosure it was in either, tried it in a sealed box giving the sub a QTC of about .76 and a ported box 2ft^3 @ 31hz. The response wasn't as smooth as other drivers and the low end was terrible, not to mention it needed over the recommended power to have any satisfactory output to it. Dealing with Kevin was also horrible, it was like pulling teeth just to get an answer. Multiple email of the same question just to get one answer, him forgetting my order and me having to tell him multiple times what it was, Having to tell him where to send the sub multiple times, among others.
  5. I dunno what your budget is but if you're looking for something that won't require a monster amp or add a ton of weight to the car and still sound and pound like a champ then I'd recommend the SSA DCON or the Fi X series subs. Just my .02
  6. 1 point
Looks like someone's gonna be able to make long distance shows now. Congrats on the new trailer.
  7. more slow motion videos. new camera is awsome!
  8. It depends on what you mean by "break in". If by "break in" you mean playing the driver at a low volume for some arbitrary period of time then no, that is a useless endeavor. The only way to "break in" a driver is to actually exercise the suspension. Typically you can do this by simply installing the driver and using it like you normally would, allowing the suspension to loosen up naturally over time. If someone feels the need to "break in" a driver prior to using it, then the most expeditious method is to do as was mentioned above and play the driver with a low frequency sine wave free air at full excursion for a while. The only real time I would see a need for this is if someone were installing a brand new sub with an extremely stiff suspension at or just before a competition and the change in T/S parameters causes a measurable difference on the meter. If you have a week you are fine, just play the damn drivers. They will be loosened up with regular, normal use during that time.
  9. i vouch for this guy on getting your skar subs
  10. well i got a vvx-10 tune to 30 herts and it gets low and loud off of a 1000 watt amp, so if you could get a bigger amp i would due to the vvx-10 seems to me it can take more then 1000watts. So if your going to rock 12's i would gt more then 1200 watts
  11. it's allways the same stupid fucks talking shit .have a great day people
