  1. Happy excuse for chicks to dress like whores day!
  2. Thrifty hipster FTMFW. Is your buddy wearing shirts/sweaters with painted animals, especially wolves, on them? Wizards or dragons count too. Sure sign of a hipster. Also wearing thick rimmed glasses but has no vision problems.
  3. Finally starting to slowly put things back in. Positive distro block mounted New copper cable mocked up for 6 of the 10 batteries. All batteries will have jumper wires as a run to the distro. Might still be a hair to young but Damn he does fit good.
  4. I knew you liked royal purp, but didn't know to that extent.
  5. If I didn't just order an amp I would be all over this, hell I still might grab one. $100 shipped! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/JBL+-+Grand+Touring+Series+600W+Class+AB+Multichannel+Amplifier/5764474.p?id=1218695447823&skuId=5764474&st=jbl%20amp&cp=1&lp=1
  6. Neal you cheatin bastid! You will always win the costume contest. Unless I turn into a gorgeous woman and dress in underpants. That could catch some swing votes
  7. Well with no real testing just hooking up the Meter and putting in a song I felt was loud. Results (meter on Dash pass door open, same numbers in kick too) 155.3 on music around 39hz if I remember right. song called "Burr Burr" by Gucci Playing around with tones with low batteries. 155@44hz 154.75@39hz 153.5@35hz 152.10 @30hz 152 @29hz on a Phil Collins song "In the air tonight" With only the single amp and with some voltage drop (deep down into low 12's)) I am very happy. With a second 5500 and another 4 batteries 57's on music may be attainable. Remember I am tuned at 31hz
  8. Best holiday ever BTW
  9. Nice progress and I enjoy watching your work, but come on dad the little man needs that! Maybe two of them!
  10. People can say what the wont about him, he has done more for me than any other company even thinks about. Shipped my 4 vvx 15s to me and knew I wouldn't be able to pay for a week and just said send money when u can. Just my personal opinion on the company but haven't had anything but good experiences. Ask ///m5 about Kevin. You don't need to ask anyone specifically about Kevin. All it takes is a Google search, and reading the threads started by those who have been taken advantage of.
  11. Lil man is growing like a weed Making good progress bro.......purdy!
  12. I love the gcon and ive come to love the incriminator lethal injection. the only thing im havin problems with are shipping costs. im trying not to blow the bank on the subs cause im making a custom ported box and buying a amp. Anybody like the lethal injections? i know the gcons are very solid as well as the sundown SA-12. Plus with the sundown i get free shipping.. sadly i dont have the power for the FI. I want a good starting point for upgrading from one level on my system to another you know? like i just wanna take it a step at a time and get everything exactly how i want it. Im an extremely competitive person so im always tempted to get the loudest and best. But im thinking the hardest hitting while still keeping SQ. so a good SPL and SQ mix. I have friends with 2 kicker 15's or 12's and some guys with JL's and some guys with RF's i wanna blow them out of the water while still keeping the sound quality high. SSA, Sundown, and Incriminator all have what i want but i just want some opinions on these. so far everyone has screamed SSA so right now they are at the top but what about the incriminator LI and the sundown SA? Not sure what Fi driver you were looking at, but in any case there isn't such thing as underpowering. What ever power you were planning on using for a gcon or sa12 could very well power the Fi driver. Don't expect a pair of 12s to perform magic and beat the cone area advantage that a pair of 15s have. At the same time you should note that installation will play the largest role in the end result--whether your goals be sq or spl.
  13. Best value usually. I forget what bar had the long island specials in tonka. LF or Maynard s. Either way they would try to give me some, premade shit. I would hassle the fuck out of them until they poured me one. I tip well but I do expect a fucking drink to be poured. Not some vacuum bag bulllllllshit.
  14. Drivers are built, and shipped from Vegas. No getting around that.
  15. Haha that looks fun!
  16. Thanks for everyones advice but like I was told im going to do small upgrades as I go and see how my voltage is affected ill start off with the big 3 and a kinetic 1800 battery and see how that does.
  17. NOBODY ELSE reply to this other than the OP or SHAWN. Keep your comments to yourself. This man has every right to feel as he does.
  18. The GCON and SSD are both excellent drivers. The Sa is also a great sub, but I'd still take the SSA or Fi sub first.
  19. Alright I've purchased a few things and am getting a bit closer to moving this build along. I ordered a Ppi Black Ice 1300.1 for the XCON's, and a Black Ice 800.4 for my front stage. Still trying to decide on some new tweeters (with some much needed help from Sean). My head unit came a few days ago... Riley showing some Halloween spirit.
  20. I believe that is the problem here. He didn't receive an email receipt or any notification from Fi that they have actually received the order. He's tried emailing them to confirm they have the order but hasn't gotten a response. I'm presuming he's mostly likely concerned there was some type of system glitch where he paid for an order that didn't go through on their end....which is a more than reasonable concern.
  21. 1 point
Takes about 4 weeks. Be patient.
  22. If I was you I would tell this installer to simply use 1/0 and if he has to just reduce it down to 4awg! There is no harm in over kill hell it is 1500watts! around 125amps. one more question how does one hook up an amp incorrectly? Positive Negative REM speaker RCA optional: gain knob. if you reverse the positive and negative you could hurt the amp if you hook up the speaker wrong it doesn't matter If you hook the RCA upbackwards it doens't matter because this is a mono channel amp you can't hook up the gain knob wrong This leaves the remote which is a simple 12v signal sent from your h/u to tell the amp to turn on
