SSA's Evil SS Camaro. 4 Evil 15s and 2 DC 7.5ks
I know my .02 is most unneeded here, yet, I need to say there is a aspect that has been over looked within these hasty remarks, one, imo, we as enthusiast and competitors must take in consideration..... The inner fire of wanting your dream to move forward, this man, different than us in some ways, has that exact same drive. So fueled, it indeed runs over even him at times, fellas, this is how we come to see these level of builds....a drive to push forward.....amplified! I have seen him in person, pushing forward, struggling to grasp what he sees on the horizon of his next goal...the impatience of waiting for such a long spell, should be understood by us all. We all have overly watched a tracking number anxiously....at some point, with high hopes. I did not say all his opionions should be our own, just as much as I look back, the short window I had, showed me a person who is passionate about life, to push forward, like I feel we all do. Something hard to see in written threads, believe me, the dollar difference is not a issue, though impressive what is on the table, it only should represent the willingness to move up and forward. I hope fate turns, and offers this shackled champ an opportunity to run again, regardless of what cloke he may don. To show all, why he was so anxious to move forward. Keep your head up Steve.2 points

box design... 3x SSA DCON 12's
1 pointI would not recommend running the 10 & 12 inch DCON sealed. Now the 15 is another story, it does well in sealed enclosures. Alton did all the work for you, use his design.1 point

box design... 3x SSA DCON 12's
1 pointWell, after running some quick numbers I've got this drawn up real fast. It's 6.75cuft NET tuned to 31hz with about 109sqin of port area at 48"W x 16" H x 26.75" D. There's no bracing or double baffle drawn in here as I only meant the drawing for initial opinion purposes. With panels as large as several of these are I would recommend at least using some dowel rods to brace it up. If you want a double baffle or different bracing I can draw that up too. Any changes to the size and shape can easily be done as well, as I mentioned before that's plenty of room to play inside of. Onto the pics of the drawing.1 point

subwoofer decisions !!!!!!
1 pointIts funny how you can comment on subs you haven't used and have only "seen used in big builds". Havoc = I was not very impressed by the driver, had good output but didn't wow me in any way. LMS-r = Great driver if you want to go sealed, didn't impress me in ported applications. Axis = Haven't used it but I have a LA Storm neo and it is a good driver surprisingly loud on low power, so if the AXIS is like the storm it should be a good driver but not for the price tag. ZVX = Haven't used and wont after the experience with the VVX DP = Haven't used, isn't my style of sub but have used IA products and one of theirs is one of my favorites. ICON = Good output low end is great. GCON = like the older ICON specs are very close, good output with good low end. What's funny is, the subs I use, you can't buy unless I sell them to someone. Or you build some yourself. Oh and it wasn't just "seen in big builds" God forbid I don't post up everything I do. But carry on since you're an expert in every driver ever made. Never claimed to be an expert but I have personally used and still have most of the drivers you listed or a variant of them. The VVX was the worst one. Don't get all butt hurt and then try to act high and mighty because you use franken woofers that you think are so special. The only person acting high and mighty is you lol. The word variant seems to be used quite excessively lately, which usually means squat. No butt hurt here either, since you're obviously upset about my woofers. Perhaps I'm a terrible reader, but you did sound like you were bragging with your drivers that no one else can even buy. Since Bromo and I opposed the skar drivers it must mean we're in some conspiracy group with the sole goal of destroying skar audio. We're actually accepting applications here: [email protected]1 point

How to calculate your power?
1 pointThat's wonderful if your vehicle doesn't require any electrical power--which it doesn't. It doesn't... not? Or it doesn't? Like I said, it's not a perfect equation. It has a built in fudge factor to account for your car's draw on the alt and amp efficiency and what not. Would you rather me just tell him to throw in dual 500A alts and 24 G31 batts to run 2k "just to be safe"? Neither are helpful to the OP. IE: 100A alt x 14.4v = 1440watts. 100A x 10v = 1000watts, 1440watts - 1000watts = 440watts. So your presuming the entire vehicle requires 440watts, and the rest of the power(1000watts) can be used to power the stereo equipment. I'm sorry but most manufacturer's don't put in alternators with over three times the power requirement for the vehicle--it economically doesn't make sense. I wouldn't want to be discharging the battery down to 10v on a continual basis either. Perhaps it would be more relevant to simply install all the equipment, and monitor the voltage before ordering alternators and additional batteries. Also presuming that if the voltage does drop severely then the OP will simply turn it down until the necessary electrical upgrades are done.1 point

box design... 3x SSA DCON 12's
1 point2.25cuft per sub is the optimal size for the subs. My sister has a single 12 in that size tuned to 31hz and not only does it sound phenomenal but the output is amazing. There's really not much use in tuning as low as 28hz either. A box, with common chambers that's 6.75cuft NET tuned to the low 30's will be fantastic. What coil configuration did you order, SVC or DVC? If you're certain those dimensions you posted are accurate I would be glad to help you get something designed and drawn up.1 point

will these fit?
1 pointThen why don't you take your door panel off, and see for yourself instead of asking people. I mean your going to have to do it any way regardless of what people say. didnt know if someone on here has already gone through this doesnt hurt to ask. thats why the forum is here!1 point

what next?? no more cvr lol
1 pointFi builds fantastic subs. They're worth every penny! With that amp I would recommend the Fi X series or the SSA GCON. Most importantly, what were your plans on the enclosure? Subwoofers in general perform best in custom built enclosures, not the crappy prefabed enclosures that are purchased off the floor of a retail store.1 point

Reselling of car audio?
1 pointill warn you ... car audio shops are a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!! i have owned a few... sounds fun at first.. right doing what you love and loving what you do... but after a while.. it all boils down to a few things. 1.. every one wants the loudest stereo, head unit subs amps all put in... and they have a budget of 75 bucks.. but theere cusins babies momma owes him some money so hell have to wait till then. 2. with the internet being in every ones hands at every ones finger tips... its SOOOO HARD to turn a profit... even if your a dealer.. IE . ill change the name..... SUNUP only sells to dealers.. its a dealer based company... but there dealers cant sell sunups items.. because billy can get online and buy them for the same price you (the dealer) can get them for on his sales, pre sales, and yard sales, and if its not a big company like that.. then its somthing that customers car buy on ebay or amazon for less then your retail will be after a profit... then if you have a brick and mortor store you have SICK over head... 3 when you do somthing you love every day.... you stop loving it. 4. people will try to rob you... in one way or another.... if they arnt trying to seal your products off the self,, they will have you install somthing.. then there friend says " nah nigga bridge that shit that hoe will bang harder" so his friends get there monkyin around with shit.. cranking this and that up... then BOOMMMM smoke....... orlando you fucked up my shit!!!!! i want it fixed... and if you dont do it.. he tells every one you dont know what your doing.. blah blah blah.... 5. good luck. im just trying to warn you .. i know your young and i admire your drive, i have been there.... over and over again.i wish you great succsess1 point
