1 pointtoo kind steve ... im thinking of rebuilding Get A Lincoln Suv and trick it out!! i had a navigator.. i hated it.1 point- Alternator or Second 18" Zcon
1 pointHi- I have been using a ZCON 18" for about a year now and I love it. It's powered on an IA 40.1. I have an XS D3400 & XS XP3000 for a battery set up, and the stock 120 amp alternator. I've gotten it down so that the sub won't heat up during normal use and it's fairly loud. It get's a bit louder when I can crank it up but it also heats right up since my electrical begins to sag. I am working at a decently paying job for the summer and have decided I can either buy an additional ZCON 18" and making a new box or get a 300 amp singer alternator. I can only do one upgrade at this time, though both is obviously best. What would you guys think would be more beneficial (loudness-wise)? If I were to add the second 18" I would have to balance the power so it is the same as it is currently, there would just be double the cone area. I'm leaning towards the alt because it's less overall work, but I'm willing to put extra work in for more spl.1 point- IAK needs an "IHOP"
1 pointHappy Birthday to her! I know the feeling Chuck, my son is 19.5 and my daught is 16. Here I am looking to part II of my life. In 3 years no kids and only a house payment. Options are endless....1 point- EVIL Tahoe | Mark's SSA DEMO MACHINE **new pics p8**
Yes we are! As soon as we get the price list from Tool Makers, we are going to be an authorized dealer.1 point- 7000 watt electrical
1 pointyou need 1ah for every watt on stock alternator. So you will need 7000ah worth of batts. lol, just playin.. Listen to Mike above. If you are tight on money, i'd just buy 2 G31s and see if you like the performance. If not, add 1 and retest.. You can keep adding batts without having to buy them all at once.1 point- sundown lincoln

1 pointi have done many many builds in town cars, they are the hardest car IMO to make loud, and this is a killer score, may not be much to yall but you must remember this is a leather filled car with a 1 foot trunk to cabin barrier.. these cars are made NOT to be loud. im happy with it.. its my all time high in a town car. obtw i peak at 42 htz1 point- sundown lincoln

1 pointit really keeps up.. its wild! in my black car it was my first time going active trying to keep up with my sub stage,...and i failed.. but this time WOW its loud clean clear full and you can hear it WITH the sub stage.. im happy!!! i do on the other hand need to figure out how to dampen my over head console. it rattling a bit. ill try to get some vids.. my busy season starts in the morning.. so. damn and i was just over there. i should have stopped by. when!!??1 point- sundown lincoln
1 pointmy favriote quote of the night " when he popped the truck i seen the box and i got goose bumps.. no one builts boxs like that anymore" as his arm was pit deep inside my port. they are nice, the spider set up seemed loose to me out of the box, but they are taking the 4500D like a damn champion. i got it tuned out pretty well so far, im able to hit the lows and the upper lows, i do want to build a box, dani has been annoyed.. it seems to be too loud.. on both accounts..1 point- sundown lincoln
1 pointplanner tweeter, very wide range very smooth non tinny screechy very natural sound....most are pretty directional (like the fronts) these have a wide of a direction1 point- sundown lincoln

1 pointdone with 1 side i painted them the same color as the outside of my car, they are not perfectly smooth the way i hoped but god damn its bad ass for my first time.. im gonna pat my self on the back.... YOU DID A GREAT JOB JON> WAY TO GO thanks jon. i worked hard on it.1 point- sundown lincoln
1 pointNice, look forward to seeing you there. Looking good Jon. Use a old tee shirt instead of the fleece. The fleece tends to absorb the resin unevenly and will tend to sag. Looks like I'm the only one behind the times and without custom fiberglass pods. Guess it's time to get back in the garage. oh hugo you have it all!!!!! thanks.. i was thinking a tee shirt aswell but i thought it maybe too thin.1 point- sundown lincoln
1 pointshhhhhiiittt.. i cook more then she does... but she has been tryin more latly.. she wants to you bring more home.. NOW thats a good woman.1 point- sundown lincoln
1 pointeven my kitties like sundown foo todays work. you know what it is!!!!! friday should bring some fiber glass.... this is my first time guys, i have never even tried to frame or fiber glass so this is kinda of a crash course i plan to see if i can find a fleece blanket to use for the fiber mat and then use some resin .. then use bondo filler, then sand it smooth then primer, then paint. let me know if im missing somthing1 point- sundown lincoln

1 pointi didnt take pics of what i cut.. but on the back of the door pannels it has a 5x7 shape on the door pannel its self.. so that it meshes with the factory location so the 5x7 is kinda sealed to the pannle... i shaved that flat, used two 8 inch MDF rings.. mounted siliconed, and then dropped my speaker in and put the door skin on.. the driver side took me alot more time(it was the first) i had to mount it a few times..put the door back togather.. then try again,,, 3 times... the passenger side i got it with out shaving.. but then when i got my amp installed it made noise.. so i took it off shaved it and it worked fine. Thanks for the reply. Thats kinda what I had to do when I put my crescendo 6.5s in the door make a ring then mount panel, shave repeat. Can I ask why you made 2 mounting rings? a few reasons.. it was the only way the basket would sit into the 5x7 hole and its an 8 so its a little deep, and the depth on these cars is shallow. so to insure i had depth, (so the window would roll down) and do make it to where i did not have to cut the sheet metel in the door up.1 point- sundown lincoln
