The HDS200 series is a revised version of our SDC2.5. The major differences you will see is the switch from a cast basket to stamped, and the addition of push connectors instead of the direct leads. These woofers also have an added cooling option to the backplate, which the SDC2.5 was lacking. With these changes we were able to drop the prices for you all. The HDS200 series is a great woofer for those not looking to upgrade their charging system but still want to rattle their car. At 600W RMS with a 2.5" coil they are capable of fitting in smaller enclosures for placement with stock installs and everyday street beat. We do suggest putting these, along with all of our woofers in ported enclosures due to the suspension set-up. We need to let you sit in our demo vehicle! I heard an HD3 15 trunk walled in a lancer, and for a fifteen in 4.5 @ 33hz, on 1500w it rolled off high as hell, the low lows just weren't there. The higher notes were forceful, but the lowest notes just went missing.
  4. Does plexiglass or lexan color the sound at all, if you were to do an all plexi/lexan enclosure? Fuck the price tag, but just curious if it's a simple as make the box solid and sealed and you're good to go.
  5. tim... you really gotta try reading... everything you just asked has already been covered.
  6. ohh and birch is much easier to work with and less mess (saw dust) and its just as strong or if not stronger then mdf
  7. Years back a team and I built 4 identical enclosures 2 where birch and 2 where mdf. 1 of each kind had fiberglass resin rolled on with a smooth foam brush roller on the inside. For testing we used the same drivers and power in the same car in the same location inside the vehicle taped off. Power was the same clamped (va) power. Both the plain unresin enclosures had the exact same score. The resined enclosures where indecisive same score or .1db loud
  8. Never said NASCAR. I was honestly thinking F1, CART, Indy car type racing. However, NASCAR is auto racing, and part of the sport. Sorry, but auto racing is far bigger than baseball. Hockey? No? I'll chuckle at that. You could argue shooting, and I'll give leeway to that. Bike racing? Sorry the Tour DeFrance is bigger than any baseball event. Anyways, all the sports I mentioned, aside from shooting, perhaps, have met your criteria and then some. All are bigger, globally, than baseball. FWIW, I like hockey, and I like to shoot (although competitive shooting isn't my thing), but none of these sports aside from hockey means shit to me. Auto racing as a collective I can see. Hockey, seriously? The most notable league, the NHL is a joke. g, Shooting? A "sport?" Maybe in the technical sense, but no. Bike racing? The Tour is the only significant event of it's sport. Baseball has reached the world over. Anyone can pick up a stick, hit the ball and run around the bases. It's played, (professionally, semi-pro, amateur, and fun) anywhere and everywhere. Ever seen a picture of a kid in South America or Africa playing hockey, shooting, riding a bike? Baseball, like soccer is universally adored for it's fun and simplicity. We don't have baseball but we have something older and similar to baseball: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oină
  9. I wonder where I got that in my head.... I only remembered that false little anecdote as I thought it was absurd.... Nascar is only dominant in the US. Doesn't Nascar stand for North American Stock Car Racing? I've never seen it anywhere except the US.
  10. At that time the whole world was so sick of Dubya & Co. they figured surely anyone was better than another Republican.
  11. Biggest sport ever is bangin DTF bitches. Everyone loves that.

  14. Thanks man. I've been applying everywhere, for anything minus selling insurance or cars. This job has just burned me out with all the unfullfilled promises. J
  15. Do want !I've worked on smaller ones, that isn't the smallest...That's what she said!!!!Seriously though, I would like one smaller, with a camera.Would be good for pervin. Then a non-quad is better.
  16. I'm not sure what my reaction to those last two posts are lol Thanks though,
  17. I must say.. I cant get everything from companies who build their own stuff.. but those who I trust deeply, I'll work with them.
  18. Its expensive in the sense of what you all are going to see next year. But for right now, pricing is normal for what the market is used to. One of my aq2200ds bout 5yrs ago had a piece of metal grounding out the inputs inside brand new. Also, first time I bought an hd3 from aq before, they internally shorted the coils. Lack of QC.. no thanks. Im sticking with companies now who actually build their own products rather than having someone else build it for them.
  19. In a reasonably well built enclosure there will be no audible difference between mdf or ply.
  20. Painting it wouldn't be any different than fiberglass resin. It's going to act as a sealant and possibly make enclosure walls a little "smoother" for air flow transfer. MIGHT be measurable on a microphone but I seriously doubt the difference would be significant enough to be audible, unless the enclosure was poorly sealed to start with.
  21. I've always used MDF until this last build and used 1" birch. I reinforced with 3/4" all thread rod. I like the sound of MDF better. Also, I recommend EZ-Loc threaded inserts. Place them on the underneath side of the wood and use machine screws with socket heads and I've never had another problem. Which is good because I use aeroports and always changing out to tweak the tuning.
  22. CT sounds and impressive features do not belong in the same sentence. Really if you look at the SSA store, you can't go wrong with any of those brands. What ohm load do you need power at?
  23. That is only because there is more stupidity in SPL geared installs. Not bass induced incoherency?
