Yeah man you ordered from one of the best online stores IMO. Mark and Aaron usually reply with 12-24 hours during the normal work week, sometimes even outside those hours. I forwarded this thread to Aaron so no need to worry man .
  2. How do you "know" just because you built it together? ie, sharing your math calculation wouldn't be a terrible idea.

As Aaron just said the boob style dustcaps are much more robust and able to withstand more back pressure. Also the boob style cap is much lighter than the full dish, But in most situations its cosmetic.
  4. You have to understand that we've seen hundreds of threads just like this, where the person absolutely swears everything is right and they know it as gospel, only to find out they were wrong. We push people, and we push hard, to go through and check, recheck, and recheck again because it can be so easy to miss a detail that seems small and insignificant that's actually the key to the entire issue. You've not given us any details when we've asked for them, only assured us that everything is good. Trust me when I say that we take nothing for granted and mean no disrespect but until we have all those details and can verify they're correct we're not going to just assume they are. We need the facts to verify they're indeed fact in order to help.

As far as I can remember the XCON has always came with the full dish dustcap. However the older Icons came with a boob style dustcap. If you're speaking about the Icon, you could run them together but it would not be optimal.
  6. You can see how they need cleaned up. Guts look good tho (thus far). J
  7. I see those bright RCAs
  8. House update, all rooms are painted and we installed the kitchen cabnets this morning. Next week we should have the flooring done and windows trimmed out for the molding.
  9. Alright the Ford Focus is finally completed. The DCON was installed today and I hope Joe gets his build log going. I am not a fan of the sync system at all unless you keep everything stock. Over all sounds pretty sweet for small power.

Spent a couple hours details the Beetle today. My daughter is in my inlaws car club and they are doing a parade and cruze in tomorrow. Looks pretty sweet.

Alright here is a little up date. I purchased a cheap VW scanner and to my suprise it worked very well. The car kept on throwing cooling issue codes once the weather got cold. With this $34 scanner I was able to reset the airbag light and it also pointed me to a thermostat fault. Replaced that and 300 miles later not one code for any thing. Another known code pain for VW is the radio, with this scanner I am able to read every system the car has and clear the bullshit codes because people tried to program certain features in the car, like how it locks and when it locks, windows up and widows down. Who would have thought a radio could cause such nonsense. Glad I torn that sucker out and returned very thing to the factory preset. SO if someone were to get a Beetle and experience issues like this go buy this scanner on Amazon, you will not be sorry.

Thank you, she is a good girl. Almost scary how much she acts like me at times. The Zcon is a little much for her, but the Dcon is ideal.
