  1. No one else in the room and I literally laughed out loud when I read that. Look, you don't understand why I made that statement so it is only fair that you listen and try and understand what I am talking about. Amplifiers are going to source current into a specified load at a specified voltage, as long as the power supply can keep up. When you take any amplifier that has a reliable rating of producing a sine wave (The standard waveform for power ratings) at a set voltage and then you have it produce a different waveform (like a square wave) it produces drastically more power, sometimes almost double. And you don't have to use just a square wave, it is an example, much music is compressed enough to almost do the same thing. So your 2.5Kw amplifier is capable of producing 5Kw of some type of power (mostly garbage) and your subwoofer will have to find a way of dealing with it if somehow all the power makes it to the voicecoil. This is worst case scenario, but it can happen. It happens on this site all the time, and user want to cry foul about a manufacturer when they simply overpowered and thermally cooked thier drivers. You should do your homework first, it will help you from making costly mistakes.
  2. Thank you, I'll take some more pics os what was done yesterday. Getting way closer to completion. Car PC vs Tablet Lots of storage vs not a lot of storage (depending on kernel and mods though) Possibly more powerful hardware vs decent hardware Lots of processing options vs no processing Adding an external soundcard is easier for a Car PC High vs low power consumption Big'ish box vs small device With Windows 8 I think you could get away with only a touch-screen and some sort of front-end like Centrafuse. To me, a Car PC implied more work (get components, set up everything) compared to the tablet, after modifying some wiring to make sure things work the way I need, only a couple of apps are left to configure. And there's the problem of space and weight, there's barely any room for anything in this car. I can live with only 10GB of storage space, the internal sound card and only the processing power of a miniDSP.

  6. The L-shaped metal is bolted to the case and another metal piece bolts to that to hold the plugs in place. Wires soldered directly to where the buttons were. Tested and working fine Hoping I can bolt it in the car this afternoon....
  7. there is only one side, the customers. jacob's shitty response is over on diyma if you need to see it for yourself.
  8. They love audio just as much as you, so they do events and shit. Personally, I'd say get over it, or switch brands. Move on with your life. If you really want something, you'll do what it takes to get it. Sure it can be frustrating, but life's not fair. Spit, or swallow. Who gives a fuck.
