LMAO...then the DD1 did absolutely NOTHING to for you. The fact you used it as a "starting point" with a 0db test tone then manually increased the gain means you negated any affect the DD1 had on the setting. You didn't set your gain with the assistance of the DD1, you set your gain by ear...exactly the same as we suggested here.

And this is exactly what EVERYONE who recommends using it is like. Absolutely no idea what they are doing, using a tool that does nothing for nothing and the worst part is since they spent money on it they feel like they got some value. While Steve is a complete douche for offering something up for sale that has no value, I understand his desire to profit from the uninformed. I guess a fool and his money are easily parted and if he doesn't take advantage someone else will. Still SUPER shitty to offer up a piece of trash for good money and then create crap propaganda to convince nooblets to buy it.

The point is, its just as easy to tune the gain to the music you frequently listen to in the first place. Therefore useless.

It used to be a widely held belief that the world was flat. If a guy walked in to a pub and asked a table of men who happened to be "rounders" if the world was flat, they'd say no it's round. But an individual sitting across the isle from them hears this and leans over to the guy and says "yeah, the guys at that table are just nuts. Walk up to any other table and they'll tell you it's flat ! "The world isn't flat, no matter how many other tables say that it is.

Just to give a little incite as to what I feel why most people don't like these things. You set your gain at a single frequency as previously mentioned. Music does not play one frequency and with that being said is dynamic in such a way that different frequencies will have different power requirements from your system as a whole. Your song may dip to below 30 hz and clip like crazy because each amp is different in their dynamic capability. On the other hand it seems people are also confused on whether to set everything with the car on/off, what volume the head unit is at, or even where the subwoofer level is. It is much better to familiarize yourself with your entire system in such a fashion you can hear things by ear so you can get a sense what sounds right/wrong.
  6. Both are correct but this is really a misprint in the manual We rate the amp at 350 watts continious into 4 ohm using a 1kHz sine wave, but when playing music there is always some headroom as the average current is lower. So the amp will get close to 400 watts depending on the duty cycle. But as you stated, you would not hear the diference. By the way, I have an small istallation to a 1992 Jeep Wrangler converted to a Jurassic Park Replica using a Barbara Ann tp power 2 MB Quart Tower spakers mounted on the roll bar and a 10" Bass tube. I will post some pictures later Nick and Big Ben are comming soon! We will keep you posted Michael US Acoustics
  7. Justin's Blazer just keeps getting louder some how. I know I am gonna get worked when I step foot in that thing. Being a basshead for around 20+ years, it takes a lot to make me wobbly getting out of a vehicle but this thing definitely accomplishes that. Always a pleasure chatting with Mark also.

You could do the same thing with your ears for free. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57RUYL6lsq0
  9. The scary thing is those amps were at 1 ohm each in my video. .5 on its way in the future. I can't wait
  10. Watching this vehicle on youtube was probably the one thing that swayed me to purchase SSA. The old videos before the stripper pole was installed were NUTS! I've never seen a windshield flex like that in my life. Always wanted to get a demo of this monster. Maybe one day....
  11. Was this you on your way home?
  12. Soooo frustrated after our soccer games tonight. We had a chance to win both games (a cup game and a league game or whatever). The ref was just a time keeper and nothing more. I got my feet taken out from under me as a girl slide tackled me (the only person between me and the goalie) with one minute left in a tie game and he called nothing. As I'm getting up the team went down and scored the winning goal. It really wouldn't be a huge deal except for the team was fill of a bunch of douches. Otherwise it would have been an awesome game. /rant

If it fits your goals, budget and power requirements then yes. It doesnt take much to make a sub for daily use, these subs are used in daily installs everyday.
