  1. Wife has a minivan (slightly older, high mileage), wanted something more fuel efficient to drive. However, with our family size we still need something that seats 5 passengers comfortably, so realistically a 6-7 seat vehicle. While my '94 Roadmaster is a beast and uber-comfy, fitting 2 older children and 1 car seat in the back just wasn't going to happen. And I wasn't driving a fucking minivan on the daily. So, we decided to look at getting me a SUV with 3rd row seating so we can get her a crappy little compact car at some point in the near future I'm not much of a spender, so stepping outside of my comfort zone and dropping this much coin on a car was pretty difficult. But I'm pretty stoked at what I got, because in my opinion it's pretty damn badass. And this is absolutely the nicest vehicle I have owned to date. It was too dark for my own pics tonight, so I grabbed these off the dealer site 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel AWD 5.7L Hemi Optioned to the max. Seriously, I don't think there was an available option it doesn't have. Original sticker was in the glovebox, it was in the high $49K's MSRP brand new. Plus the balla' ass rims. So....there's going to be a pretty long list of stereo equipment up for sale in the near future. Plan to keep this one stock, for now atleast. Too nice for me to screw up at this point, too big of a PITA to integrate something with the OEM NAV/DVD/Rear seat entertainment system....and a big car loan that could use some quick liquidation
  2. Getting ready to take my daughter for her first tattoo!
  3. I'm always local as well. Won't be doing audio in my ride for a while, wouldn't mind getting in and messing up someone else's in the mean time
  4. Did I mention I leave again in 27 days on another vessel out of New Orleans.
  5. The Minidsp will get demoted to Miata use. I'm getting an Audison Bit Ten D for the Jeep, I just can't live with the sub crossed over at 55Hz, which is as low as the Zapco will cross it.
  6. What Casey said is accurate and as long as you set the amp right and listen/watch/smell for stress on the speakers you will be fine. The extra power is headroom, and that's a REALLY good thing to have. It will help from sending clipped signals to the speakers during dynamic peaks in the music. Do a search on the forum for a topic on amplifier headroom and you'll learn a LOT about what it is and how much it can really help.
  7. The sundown 50.4 is a pretty nice amp for under 200 us
