Ok which amp is the best outta these few?
Ok I was told the Sundown 4500D is a bad amp because the 86% eff @ 4ohms at 100Hz, so I was told to look into the HellFire 2500.1, the MTX TA92001, and the T1500-1bd. I am going to be getting 2 12" BTLs, fully loaded daily drivers. Anyone have any words of wisdom?

Another n00b question
What if it was a bigger difference, like 2cuft and 5 cuft? lol Im just lookin for the physics? behind this.. I wanna know as much as I can and this site is helping a TON Easiest way to eplain this is to go to http://www.linearteam.dk/default.aspx?pageid=isdonline type in your speakers T/S parameters and look at the graph and compare the frequency curves. If you have to convert metric to inch their is a conversion table also on the site. k thanks

Another n00b question
Nice, thanks. What about the cuft difference? Would it make the notes sounds deeper or make the bass more accurate?

Another n00b question
Ok whats the difference in one box tuned to 35hz with 2.5cuft and another box tuned to 35hz with 3cuft? also whats the best material to build a box out of?

Couple Questions
Probably just gonna stick with the Sundown 4500d, and when you measure the length * width for the port size, what about height? Height x width Lenght will give you your tuning frequencey AHH there we go, THATs why I got confused lol so when I figure Ill need the port to be tuned to a certain freq is that the wall inside the box? And thanks for answering my retarded 'n00b' questions, I just wanna learn how to do this all on my own.

Couple Questions
so if I made a box 16in wide, 16in tall and 24in long, with material being 1in thick. Id need a port the same height as the box and just as long, and 2.5in wide? so the overall width would be 18.5?

Couple Questions
Ok question 1 : Im planning on building my own box but when they say have 12-16 sq in of port space what does that mean? Which part of the port do you measure to get that figure. 2 : would a T-line be a better choice for 2 BTL 12s with a 2.5cuft box? or a regular L-port?

Enclosure Question
Whoa, so I should probably stick to an L-shape port then is what your telling me. Also are Hifonics amps any good? just a random question.
-
Enclosure Question
so if I was looking to tune the box to a certian Hz and I made a port like that instead of a straight out port it would sound the same?
-
Enclosure Question
Yes its very crudely drawn but I just wanna know. Also is there a name or terminology for that type of port?

Enclosure Question
Ok if I build a box that has a port that 'folds' would that be just as good as a regualr port?

Are AudioQue amps any good?
Awesome, great info, thanks guys.. And I agree complete shizzzon

Are AudioQue amps any good?
Suppose it would help to know which kinda, 2 Audioque 2200D. Stats and stuff here.

Are AudioQue amps any good?
I was planning on getting two of these for the 2 BTL 12s Im getting but I looked at the pix and I didnt really notice any fans, does that mean I have to be weary of over heating? Ive had problems with amps doin that before. Also would it have a pretty good or just eh sound quality? Id be using it in a daily set up so yea.

Ok I read the above posts and wondered if I was right
Ok, so basically a gain is this : the voltage from the RCA wires is say 250mV, and the amp takes that and does its thing which would amplify it by say 90dB, which means the subs would be receiving 250mV * 90dB, whatever that is.. and then introducing the gain just increases the voltage from the RCA to the amp so the amp would perceive the RCA to be sending a higher voltage, say 250mV * 10dB of gain, which the amp would then amplify the 250mV * 10dBof gain * 90dB which would then hit the speakers.. Is that correct? All the numbers are just random, just tryin to see if I got the idea..

Is 3,000RMS on a Fully loaded(daily driver) Sub possible
ok so this is my plan, 2 Fi BTL 12" subs [Ohm: Dual 2, P Chamfer: no(it comes with cooling package), Cooling:Yes, HiXmCoil: yes, Daily or SPL: Daily, I Heat Ring: Yes Universal: no] with a 2.75~3cu ft ported box, tuned to around 35-38hz, depending on how I build the box, 2 Powermaster D3100s, a 220A HO alt(couldnt find the 250A I seen earlier ), 2 Audioque 2200D which will have a 1 ohm load at 14.4V so 2200RMS, and tons of 0 gauge wire lol.. plus a new head unit, might as well.. Does that sound like a good setup? Any changes? Also would anyone recommend an EQ, I know someone who can tune it for me if I need but Im just asking for now.

From: Is 3,000RMS on a Fully loaded(daily driver) Sub possible
lol, you don't recommend the 2400s but you tell him to listen to what i say and i say it's fine... He is really gonna be confused now, lol. 2 HC2400s are fine. If you are a Kinetik fan, that model number is what you want, 2 of them. If you are Powermaster fan, go with 2 XS D3100s... The Powermaster's are generally $30 more than the Kinetik's and i am biased to say that's what i'd use simply because their companies support forum is on this site if you have any questions. Haha Gotcha and ok Im just gonna go with the PowerMasters, you use them and you recommend them so there's no reason they should work for me.

Is 3,000RMS on a Fully loaded(daily driver) Sub possible
Right, I know you need the money to supply the power these beasts need, which I can do, I'm just looking for the least expensive but alright thanks guys. The info really helped, and now I'll be able to build my stuff so its insane loud.. just wish I knew as much as you guys lol

Is 3,000RMS on a Fully loaded(daily driver) Sub possible
Well I guess Im only going to be right around 5k watts ,2k-2.5k per sub, but you still recommend that right? I was going to get 2 kinetic batts the HC-2400.. also is there a site I can find more choices of alternators? I've looked everywhere but I can't find a site with anything over 250A and I really wanna stay away from two alts if possible.
