  1. Well damn, got another noob question too.. Ok I KNOW I'm gonna get a battery per amp, and I know Ill need an alternator but I dont know what size(amperage wise) I should get. I heard that I should get a battery with a rating of around the RMS each amp is pushing, but Im not sure on that. And I think a 250A H/O alt. would be good. Or am I wrong in assuming that?
  2. I dont know about daily but if you set your gains right and watch your volume then 3000wrms may be ok but I dont know about higher. The question is for how long can they take that power and can your vehicle handle 6000rms or more? Why dont you just give them between 2000-3000wrms(if you just want to throw that much power on them but they have a rms rating for a reason). Oh yeah welcome and glad you could join us. Alright so I should really just stick to 2k-2.5k then? And the primary reason I'm asking is cuz I'm having a hard time finding an amplifier.. Also I'm DEFINITELY a noob, but I do know some stuff, but what do you mean about the gain? You never know if you never ask right.
  3. Im gonna get 2 12in BTLs and I was wondering if they could handle 3,000RMS or higher and not have to worry about it, and the sub would be a daily sub but fully loaded otherwise.
  4. so you complain about me 'double posting' but wont help at all, nice... And if you read the noob guidelines I told you to you'd know why, having an attitude isn't going to help you get the answers you want nor will make uninformative threads. PS I apologize for 'giving you attitude'.. I didnt view it as that but others have different perspectives.. I just dont really give people who stop by and enjoy 'yelling' at me, but you are doing your job I guess. Also it wasnt an uninformative thread, its trying to get some answers. I cant get answers from anywhere else.
  5. For starters answer some general questions, whats the electrical upgrades you plan on doing, how much room do you have in your trunk and what other equipment will be in this install? I dont think two 15"s would fit in a Lincoln LS but I could be wrong, 2-12"s may suit your better. Thats not a good choice of amps, grab you a Sundown SAZ-3500 or SAZ-4500D or Incriminator Audio IA40.1. Im not sure exactly the space of the trunk, Im in a different country right now, but I do agree I think 12s will be a better idea.. and as far as electrical upgrades I think Im just gonna get a high output aftermarket alternator, unless you guys have other suggestions. Id be installing just 2 batteries, two amps, and two subs, so nothing to special. And why not choose that amp? What websites can I find those amps on?

  7. Also since I have the daily option I will be bumpin 24/7 if possible so can it handle 2500rms safely under those conditions?
  8. First off Im gonna get either a BTL or Kicker, cant make up my mind. Either a Kicker SoloX 15(2) or Fi BTL 15(2), the kicker can handle 2500RMS @DVC 2 ohms and the BTL can handle 2000RMS @DVC 2 ohms.. So would the BTL 15 be able to handle 2500RMS or higher with the P Chamfer, Cooling, HiXmCoil, Daily, I Heat Ring, and not universal options? Also Im gonna try to put these in a lincoln LS, and I cant determine if I want BTL15s or BTL12s, which would you guys suggest? p.s. the amp I will probably be using is a SPL FX1-5500D with 2500RMS @ 2ohm, 3200RMS @ 1 ohm, is that a good idea or anyone got any other suggestions? Thanks a lot, an obvious newbie
