  1. Well since m5 was so utterly offended by casey's request for proof of credibility, how about something a little less invasive of his fragile ego. After all we don't want anyone getting emotional in this thread. M5, would you be so gracious as to humor us with a graph of how this enclosure/sub/vehicle will perform. single reflex bandpass for a single BTL 18"(old triple stack version) sealed- 3.5cu ft ported 7.5cu ft@50hz w/ 120sq in of port vehicle- 1999 land cruiser
  2. yup, lifting heavy really requires a spotter. Is there no random strangers at your gym that you can bug for a spot? Sometimes if there's no one around to spot me I'll do something I know I can "save" myself on. Like heavy lockouts inside the power rack. Set the safety pins so you're only doing about 6" of pressing. If you don't have a power rack you can just do floor presses.
  3. read up on westside barbell if you want to up your bench. You must constantly change and incorporate new lifts if you want to continue to get stronger. Try board presses, those are my favorite for a shock.
  4. LOLz, if we were to take an average from the spl setups in fl, you guys know TAZ would bring our average down so much that we would be the quietest state in the country.
  5. sounds pretty good. I'd actually go a little bigger if you're staying with that amp.
  6. Thanks guys. I'm getting a new amp soon so it should be a lot louder. Gonna do a couple more things to see if I can gain.5db with this one first.
  7. Yup that's the song but it's a Decaf version I was using.
  8. Can't remember exactly, "watch me make a movie" or something like this
  9. The show down here in Ft Myers on Sunday should be insane!
  10. yeah, should be real close. That would be fun to do streetbeat 2 if we could ever get a Usaci event in FL!
  11. gains 1db average driver door open
  12. This is my best music score to date using 1 Sundown 1500 and 2 12's. This is legal score and song is 37-38hz.
  13. I'm tuned at 35hz and very often play 25hz with ssf at 0. I've had no problems with subs even with an oversized box.
  14. what Duran said. The 12" will be more impressive in that size box. However, I would raise tuning to at least 35hz-36hz.
  15. I use to run 6 6v's wired to 18v, more like 20v when fully charged. They are very strong batts. Probably better than most of the car audio batts out there.
  16. I've seen a lot of people do BTL's in 4th orders down here in FL. I'm not a big fan. They seem to work pretty good for most people but I'd have to agree that a 6th order would be better for it. I've only seen one in a 6th order and it was much more impressive than any of the 4th orders.
  17. Definitely need to upgrade electrical. Yes, you can run the BTL on that amp, you can run any sub on any amp. Will it do it justice? Absolutely not. Either get a lower power sub or get a much bigger amp.
  18. ^^^x10. Judging by his website, he is a pretty much looks only builder. Now I'm just basing that off the pics of what he has on there. He might build many other types of boxes but just not post them on the website. But looks ans sound are two very different things. Especially when it comes to high powered subs. I'm guessing you're wanting the best performance out of your sub. A pretty fiberglass box may look nice but it will very unlikely give you the best performance. It would be like having a Ferrari but with a Kia engine in it.
  19. wanted to see what some old Type argggs would do in this box. Lost almost 2db but still decent
  20. 1999 Jimmy 2dr 2 RL-p 12's 1 SAZ-1500
