I recently installed an Eclipse CD-8445. It's been great, however I have not had much success using E-ISERV. I have not been able to transfer AreaShot files or Audio settings to my HU via CD or Memorystick. I have been able to transfer Motion Picture files however. Whenever I try to transfer AreaShot or Audio settings, I receive a "file err" message. I've tried upgrading the firmware...but that has never been done successfully either. Any help is appreciated.

I finally installed my Eclise CD-8445 and I'm loving it. However, I don't quite understand how the parametric equalizer works. It's a 7 band eq, I can change the gain of each frequency range...I get that much. How do I know what frequency to set each "section" of the eq to? Each section has three frequencies to choose from and I don't know what to select. On a side note...anyone know how to fade the sound to the front? Can't seem to find a way with the Advanced/Pro mode on. Thanks in advance

That's cool and all but the more and more I read about their new line(not the F1) they all have less features.

Care to explain? I hope you're not talking about their F1 line as that is obviously out of money people's budgets.

For example I have the CDA-9855 that I bought two months ago. I could probably get the CDA-9857 for a few bucks more would it be worth it? From what I see, there's no eq on the '06 models and they have 2V preouts.

'06 Alpine HUs better than '05? Spec wise they look a lot worse.

Well I know MB Quart was bought by Rockford Fosgate a few years ago and the quality of their speakers went down. Now MB Quart is owned by Maxxsonics...the makers of HiFonics, Crunch, and Autotek. Are the new line of MB Quart speakers any good? I have a set of MB Quart speakers made the year before they were bought by RF and I love them....but will their new speakers be as good? I'm looking at the Premium line specifically.

Well everytime I narrow my choices down I find about a new head unit. Right now I'm deciding between the Eclipse 5435 and the Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP/DEH-P8MP and Clarion DXZ755MC/DXZ855MP. In terms of SQ, features, eqs, etc, what is my best option? I would like the lighting on the unit to be all blue as well...that matters to me. Color screens of course are an exception.

Think I could get atleast 130W RMS out of a 200W RMS rated amp from them?

I'm considering buying a used Avionixx AXA440.4 for around $100. Any opinions? They're rated at 85x4 W RMS @ 4 ohm but are supposed to put out around 100W. Any info would be great.

How does this sealed box look for a 12" Magnum D2? I wanted 1.25 cu ft but w/ driver displacement I need 1.35 cu ft. 2333 cu in. = 1.35 cu ft H" x W" x D" 12.5 x 21.75 x 12 - External 11 x 20.25 x 10.5 - Internal 1.25 lbs polyfil Is that too much polyfil? Not enough? I tried to stay as close to the golden ratio as possible but I don't want the box to be more than 12.5" high. So does it look good?

ahhhhhhhhhh that makes so much sense now. I had read 3dB = double power...I didn't take it literally as double power I read it as double loudness which confused me since I know 10dB is double loudness. Guy - I have a tC as well and will be dropping a D2 in there very soon. I don't understand why would you would build a 2.5 cu ft box and then not port it? People usually use sealed boxes for smaller enclosure to save space. You're building a huge sealed box so I'm just kinda lost here =) What's your reason behind this? Thanks and I can't wait to read about your results.

unless that is your review...I don't usually take those to heart. But that seemed to be a well written not idiotic review which many epinions reviews are. I agree that the bass was very good imo for a 6.5". Better than the 6x9" in my dad's sienna. btw, did you ever reply to the last e-mail I sent you? You're selling D2s aren't you?

How does the RSD-216 woofer compare to others? Should I upgrade it or stick with it? I was happy with the sound it had when I had them installed in my accord. Money is an issue.
