seen you at the last comp at the gold exchange,f ing nice firebird, my ride was the 90 silverado with a fi 18, lol my stereo crapped out before the comp and preouts went bad but i still hit 138.8 with a pos stereo, youll see me at the comps next season alot i got something bigger and better in mind

personally i dont think the q will get as loud as the bl because the q is made for more sq type setups rather than spl. but in the righ enclosure either will be loud enough to compete with

ok i have been reading and it seems people have been putting up some pretty good numbers with 2 18 bls and i was going to be doing the same setup and im wondering if i should build a wall ,or make a 10 cube box @ 35 hz. im wanting to hit about a 150 so what do you think would be louder a wall at 35hz or a rectangular box at 35 hz? it will be in a 1990 chevy silverado extended cab

gl w/ build im 14 go to parkview high springfield,mo. im deffinately the loudest at my school and the rest of the schools around springfield lol. ya the first thing i did was run 0 guage from alt to batt + and ran 4 guage back in the cab to extra batt which if your getting a fi they are power hungry , i have 1 fi bl 18 on a kicker 1200.1 (about to double both hurray for christmas lol) but if you dont already have a high amp alt which may come stock i suggest upgrading because without one your batteries wont be able to charge fast enough and will drain pretty fast.

There is no way you can run a D2 ohm subwoofer at 2 ohms. i mean 1 ohm sry

i got it a while back about a year ago, it is being powered by a kicker 1200.1 ran at 2 ohms, i have used it in competitions but never on burp.

ya it has all the options you can get with the spl version

How much do you guys think i should sell my bl 18 for it is spl version d2?

the kicker kx and zx series both had issues with all the knobs turning--that's part of why the design got changed. people who compete just put clear packing tape over the knobs to keep them in place. i might have to try that

Where is your amp mounted? My BL 18 does the same thing because i have a kicker 1200.1 and when i have it cranked it turns the bass boost nob.
