Any experience with this online store -- avoid?
I just checked my order history. Sorry, they are pretty good, I was thinking caraudiodeals. Did have a problem with a US Amps bass mekanik they sent me, it was missing parts too, didn't really work either.

Shipped fast though? Kind of hard to not include a part of a battery...lol. It's not hard to send a B-stock or used battery Also says something about the "new, never opened product" I agree with Mark, check the XS Power, they really are quality batteries. Otherwise go with some Deka's or Shuriken's for cheap ones.

I have been shipped products with parts/manuals missing. Everything always worked fine, but REALLY sketch.

What did you do?

I just read this and laughed ..
The worst is when you actually DO try and argue/inform them, and they act as if YOU are the ignorant one. Makes me cringe, that's why I stopped.

Fi Customer Service
I recently purchased my two new Q 18's, and they arrived about a week ago. The UPS guy dropped the boxes and he bolted to the truck. I went outside to bring them in when I noticed a box was severely torn, retaped, and then ripped again. I know this was UPS, since my previous experiences with Fi, as well as the other box, have always yielded nice packing. The subs seemed fine, but I also ordered a T-shirt and banner for my car. The banner fell out of the hole in the box, I am guessing, and the shirt had a hole in it. I contacted Fi about the problem, informing them about the shipping problem, and Scott got back to me the next business day. Without asking any other questions or asking me to go through the problem with UPS, he had already shipped me a brand new shirt and banner!!! He also mentioned to let him know how the install turns out in case something turns out wrong with the sub in the bad box. Fi really knows how to take care of their customers. That's why I have bought from them time and time again. (By the way, I never have had a problem with the shipping, so don't let that influence you negatively) So thanks guys!!!

2nd Alternator questions
And how would you go about having a second isolated alternator, I'm all ears. And why necessarily keep your electrical "seperate"? Or am I misunderstanding you? OP, what do you need a second alternator for? How many batteries do you have/ plan to have in the future? Also what kind of dual alternator set ups have you looked into, also what brands? You would have the hot from the alternator running to a second battery, running your system, while the stock alternator only has to deal with stock electrical. You would keep them seperate so that if for some reason your second battery is draining, like when you don't have the vehicle running, it could go dead and you would still have the main battery to start your vehicle. Wouldn't have to worry about your system drawing excess current, except for the safety of your equipment. Wouldn't have to deal with lights dimming, you would still have stock electrical with no aditional draw. Oh, so you didn't mean the alternators weren't running on a single belt, I misunderstood you. With two batteries in parallel you are also optimizing the internal pressure of the batteries.

Crescendo Audio?
If I ever get around to figuring out how it works, I should have a crude measurement setup. Don't be so modest Maybe those 8's FR is from 50 to 5k using F30s instead of F3s or F10s lol. Seriously though, can you maintain that type of effiency and FR with crazy amounts of HD? I think I have seen some drivers like that, but never recommended to use like about 2k.

Memphis Audio Price?
How does memphis do at low voltage compared to sundown? Also in efficiency? Out of curiosity, not much experience with memphis.

Jobs in the audio world
I was advised to do a double in EE and Computer Engineering, and if possible another in physics since only three more classes are needed for a EE and ECE. Masters in physics or EE couldn't hurt .

All this is going to be a an arguement of people who were involved with ED years ago and disagree with their business practices, which, yes, WERE questionable if not wrong. How is it any better for him to say they suck? He most likely never has owned an ED product... Some of you obviously have validated opinions and I don't mind those when I have a question about it, but in Fi technical in an IB3 HT set up question?... It just gets old, they give me good prices and never had a problem with the products, that's all I ever say, not like I am saying they are great.

OEM integration products
I have had experience with the 3.sixty.2 integrating a system into a new denali, seemed to work well. Downside was that you need a PDA or Palmpilot to do the adjusting.

Fi IB3
Size limited, and a few people have used them in large, very low tuned enclosures. I do have a basement, but I like my floor :: I have no experience with IB HT subs, reason for the question. Do you suggest another sub for my goal then? Also, I didn't want to spend over 250 on the driver itself.

x2.... If all y'all think AQ amps are so horrible, go make your own amps. That way we can have the best ever..........................arsehos Do you believe the parts are inferior to sundown on those amps? I have read a lot of information saying they are, but on the contrary, I have read many people love their performance. I bought a 2200d so I can try it myself, also because of the low price and broad general approval by those that use them. I feel like I have never seen them severely hated against until now.

Thanks, that was a very helpful first post, I honestly can't thank you enough for your most likely biased, invalidated, advice.... well comment rather. If you have a problem with a brand I use, make a thread. I personally have been treated very well by the company and never had a problem with the many products I have used.
