  1. 1 18 will make some noise and blow some stuff around but I think what your looking for will need more
  2. We're all encouraged to use common sense when playing these high powered systems. Looks like it was an event. Thats the place for it. There is always gonna be someone bitching about something. Funny how this thread differs so much from the other forum it was posted on lol. Love SSA!
  3. I used that exact crimper on my last install. Faster than soldering and it held strong. My dad has had one for 20+ years and swears by it.
  4. Love it! I've had my car egged and I swear if I caught them it would get ugly. Punk ass kids. Lucky you didn't get caught and put in the hospital. So basically... HA. Hope your shit rotts out.
  5. Your getting advice from people who really understand their shit.
  6. Good explanation. Should help quite a few out there who need a good intro into active
  7. Love my 80prs. Haven't used any of the others you mentioned and I doubt I will. I like how much control I get with the pioneer. It does have a lot of options that most people don't need. If you have plans for your front stage, plan to go active one day then the 80prs will be a good move. Makes me wish I went active instead of passive
  8. Lmao. Thanks for pointing that out. No I can live without this one.
  9. Link? Can't see video on mobile device
  10. Not for certain but I think he's under $250
  11. Thanks guys. Not my cup of tea either, I've used them and they did fine but I can afford something better for my vehicles. My little cousin doesn't have a lot of money to be throwing into his system. Ill gather up a few different options for him and let him roll the dice.
  12. Thanks! I think they look a little better too. Ill run it by my cousin. He's just going to push 2 sa12s.
  13. I lost faith in ppi after the chrome power class amps. (Still have one). But I do hear decent reviews on them. Ill give them a look
  14. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the newer version audiopipe amps. I've used the ap1500's before and they performed well. Usually recommend them for friends. I can't seem to find them anymore. All I see is 'APCL' and 'APSM' series. Looking for a decent ~1000-1500@1 ohm amp for my cousin on a budget.
  15. Nice. Hope it works out.
  16. Is this strictly pro audio or their entire line?
  17. Would be nice to see these idiots post this shit up for sale on CL or something and get popped. I work my ass off for my equipment so it really pisses me off to see this. On another note its very important to secure your vehicles with all the expensive equipment.
  18. Don't think smd sells a gain setter. Might wanna take a peek at the "dd-1" thread before buying. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/59562-smd-dd1/
  19. I think I got mine at lowes or orchard supply.
  20. I'm taking notes. Love how your malibus turning out.
  21. 4 18s in a Bp. Gonna be a decent sized enclosure
  22. Not familiar with the amp but you want bass boost all the way down. Low pass filter not too high. I set my gains by ear. Hard to explain that too much. I just listen for any signs of stress on my subs. Not sure about noticing a difference in changing your wire. Walmart amp kit scares me lol. I would upgrade that for the piece of mind. Couldn't hurt.
  23. I have a baby little zapco old school amp. Rated for 25w x 2. Would shock the shit out of some of you. Again.. I love old school zapco. Notice 'one ohm stable'? Hooked this amp up to a friends 4 10" kicker cvr setup along time ago and tripped some people out with it.
  24. I had a buddy in high school that had one of those running his entire system in an integra. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay?
