    Attempting to construct a ported box for a Malibu VLX wakeboard boat.

    I am trying to construct a ported box for the driver’s console of a 2007 Malibu VLX wakeboard boat. I would like to install an Fi BL12 and push it with a Kicker 1000.1 amplifier in 2 ohms. The dimensions of the box I plan to build are as follows 18” wide x 18” deep x 18.5” high. I am going to use a PSP (Precison Sound Products) port tuned to 32hz. Is this box size adequate for this sub? Will this sub be ok in this environment? (ie. 100% humidity, maybe a few drops of water and a little bit of full sun). Any tips and advice would be much appreciated. I am use to building only sealed boxes, so ports are totally unfamiliar territory for me, but I’m willing to learn. Thanks
