  1. Noah and others have more experience with that amp than I do. However, I think that much power on a daily basis (the 1/2 Ohm recommendations) is just sickening. #1) You'll never be using it all and #2) It'll be just stupid loud. I've got a 3200 watt amp being CHOKED by a stock alt and with my seats down it's pretty sick with about 900 watts a sub.
  2. Awesome! I'm glad you like it. And thank you for posting - not many people do after installing our Mag's for some odd reason.
  3. Wire up the pair to 2 Ohms.
  4. Man I wish you guys were over here. Maybe I'll make a trip over there once we stike it rich.
  5. Just be thankful that I sold the Del Sol and opted for a hatch! The Del Sol install was going to be CRAMPED!!!
  6. Nah Ryan, that was someone else who couldn't use Mags. But that install is frickin sweet! Max called me and told me about the 150 score while playing music, which is just great. Hell, with 4k watts, the right frequency, and proper charge on the batteries you will be doing much better on the mic. 6k watts is just nuts.
  7. They are mfg'd right here in the USA.
  8. SWEET! And yes, my install was a bit ghetto. I had to have sub woofage and that's the result of me spending about a half a day with hardly any tools to get it done. BUT I knew it was temporary so it's no biggie.
  9. Power handlig is going to be in the 450 watt area, so they'll be a tad lower than the LI's.
  10. He called me a little earlier. I told him that 600 watts RMS is just fine but it really depends on how loud he wants it and how much headroom he wants. If it were me, I'd throw more than 600 on it if I bought a 15...although for 99% of my daily listening I'm probably not using any more than 300 watts a driver during the loud parts.
  11. My two 12's are in a rectangular box where the walls are parallel and I have no cancellation issues. I spent about 30 minutes building it too, so it's a leaky little sucker. I'm wity Tirefryr though, it's got to be something else. Phase, crossover settings, something!
  12. One component set will do you just fine. That's what I'm running...but then again, what do I know?
  13. Yep. I'll give you a call sometime soon.
  14. But seriously, Trevor's right on the money. Go sealed...unless you want to make your behind-the-seat area dedicated to NOTHING but the enclosure for the two 12's, which I wouldn't advise.
  15. Any woofers power handling will go down the more you increase the sealed box volume. The more you increase volume, the more power handling decreases. If you're looking for a definitive answer other than what we have suggested go with 2.6 cubic feet and call it a day. BTW: What year is your teggy?
  16. Jason, email me. Not only for the stickers but remind me about the other thing we discussed. I'll send you the JPG of our new logo and see what your dad can come up with.
  17. Post your preference. I am going to make white and silver (more silver than white) but I want to know what you all have in mind. Post away!
  18. Yep, I definitely need to get more made. We're fresh out. I'm starting a new topic about the color of them.
  19. Man, I need to start sending out stickers with every sub. Those little stickers look great.
  20. Why not? Linear throw doesn't mean peak travel. 24mm one way is almost 2" of total linear throw (24mm one-way BTW). Go an extra >0.5" each way non linear and you get 3" of total travel. Of course, peak excursion isn't limited by the motor force on ours - the end comes when the coil slams into the backplate (which it was designed for to tell you "hey, back off!"...and is also right before the spiders bottom out. Basically, it's good design) Heck, back in the day of the large-surrounded-they-suck-because-they-have-large-surrounds subs with 18mm of linear travel on a good day could still throw down 3.2"+ of total throw.
  21. Cool! That's what I like to see - a new car ripped apart to put in a system.
