  1. I'll get it out of the packaging and take a pic or two. As for the video, that's all my camera will do and it is being packaged back up in the next 5 minutes so no more videos. Well maybe in the customer's house. We'll have to see.
  2. SI is doing a system in a customers house and we ordered the 9" Sunfire Jr subwoofer for this application (cost and size). For those of you who don't know what a Sunfire Jr is, it is an 8" driver with an 8" PR and a 1400 watt amplifier all inside a 9" cube that is finished beautifully (a deep deep deep red - almost black - wood laquered finish)! We hooked it up next to the line arrays and this little sucker wangs HARD! On normal music it kept up with the line arrays just fine - ample bass all the way around, fairly tight...actually pretty darned tight for an out-of-the-box PR setup. The extension on this little bugger is impressive! It did just fine with an 85 Hz crossover all the way down to the mid/low 30's in our room. However, with Trittico, it did not want to play nice. I took a video (crappy resolution I found out after the fact ) of the PR on the wang patrol. Here it is: Ok, you're going to have to copy and paste: http://www.stereointegrity.com/images/9_inch_cube.MOV
  3. Like who? Kevin's out for sure. Other than him I think everyone else replied back.
  4. Jordan's right. That's what I said about you guys. Newbs! But seriously - I donno Denim, we'll have to talk. Newsletters only go out to SI reps so we'll have to discuss the possibility further.
  5. Dang...26 years old. I never thought I'd see the day that I honestly forgot it was my birthday but here it is. Thanks guys!
  6. Right now Direct Pricing is over $100 less than what's on the web page ($400 shipped actually for a single 15). But like Tirefryr said, we didn't skimp on the build of these new drivers in any way, shape, or form. Our single 12's have regularly beaten 12's that cost ~$1000 each, so IMO they're worth every penny even at MSRP. If you're concerned about cost, why not run a pile of Incriminator 187's? They are very loud inexpensive subs.
  7. FYI: Those specs are for the new Mag's, not the old Magnum's. And having a driver re-coned at another facility than ours will change the T/S's considerably. That, and why don't more people read the web page?
  8. And on that note, I think it's newsletter time!
  9. They'll work fine IB in a car. We made a LOT of drywall dust come down last night as we really got to cranking on it. We clipped the K2 (2500 watts) and the Mag's were moving about a half of an inch, which is all we were able to get them moving. It's pretty cool having the low end come through sooo well with the setup. The movie The Fifth Element is just murder in the begining when the space ship pases by the camera !! I had a headache after playing with the system last night.
  10. I called Nick today (the first one, the one who's had it for over a month) and got his voice mail but he called me back. He loved the wire (didn't post about it though) but forgot that he had it. It should go out tomorrow though. I'm going to call him again tomorrow and find out whether or not it got sent out.
  11. ^^ Exactly what Ryan said. If you like it in 2.2 ported you're going to shat yourself when you get it in the appropriate enclosure.
  12. I'm going to call his house (found his phone number through the online yellow pages) this week and find out what is up.
  13. A Crown K2 is powering them. And trust me, out of anybody, if I punctured a surround..., it was hell getting them mounted with the fricking air handler in the way! PS: Eat me.
  14. So I've been slammed (as usual) so without typing for an hour or more about what I've been doing I'll put it simply: My car got in a fight with a curb, the curb won, the car is fixed (all right side lower control arms, front rotor, lower ball joint on pass and steering ball joint on driver side were all replaced b/c of the accident and I installed new shocks all the way around while tearing the car apart). Secondly, my dad and I are installing 4 Mag 15's in our celing. That's right, four (4) Mag 15's in an IB install. Check out the pics. We're not done yet b/c I busted a hole in one surround (one hand drilling while supporting myself and dad holding the woofer in place etc...I'm still pissed) so the silicone has to dry overnight. We'll be installing the top of the enclosure and the terminal strips that will wire it all up tomorrow evening if all goes well.
  15. Going from 2.2 cubes to 2.5 cubes will be audible but not 2.6 to 2.8 cubes...especially if you stuff the smaller enclosure. Just aim for 2.5 cubes sealed after driver displacement and stuff the enclosure with about two pounds of polyfil.
  16. You won't be able to tell the difference between 2.6 and 2.8 cubes audibly, so the choice is up to you. Go 2.6 if you stuff it with polyfill and line the walls with fiberglass
  17. It's a 15" with a logo, 12 spoke basket, which makes it a 2'nd generation Magnum.
  18. Tuning lower doesn't mean the high frequency extension will suffer more. You're not making a bandpass enclosure so your upper frequency limit is based more on inductance than anything else.
  19. Not a lofty goal at all - you should be able to get that no problem. The drivers will do fine above 50 also, inductance is decent so the 80 Hz extension is very obtatinable.
  20. Cool. Knowing that will help me sleep better at night. Good luck with the install and keep the forum updated with the progress!
  21. Yeah man, Nick can get his 'glass work to look like mine in about 1/4 the time it takes me to get it looking that good so I figure why not butt heads and have the install go a LOT faster?
  22. Ummm...are you covering up our logo with an "MB" in your install?
  23. You know...I was thinking about doing my install myself but I think I'll make an appointment with you so we can get it done in 1/4 the time it would take me. ...and not to mention the glass work will look better also.
  24. Nick Budros has it (does that ring a bell Jason?).
