  1. im hopeing to be playing music by next weekend. not done, but playing.
  2. damn bean spillers
  3. Here ya go bud. hope that helps understand how it works. You would just solder your inside wite to the little tab.
  4. Yeah it has a ring terminal on the inside. The post it self pokes through a 1/4 hole and the ring terminal and a nut go on the inside. Let me go take a picture of one taken apart so you can see the pieces Be right back.
  5. I use knu 8 gauge. and binding posts from parts express. works great for me
  6. we all know whos car is sexier... sorry julian
  7. 2x4s on their side. then to the back wall
  8. i guess this is progress. i have to measure each hole independently because the wall is unsymetrical. anyway 1 more hole cut and good clearance. Also adjusted and tightened up the 2nd alt bracket. lines up nice but i cant start the car to check it yet. waiting to install the new powersteering hose.
  9. Nice ride. Now finish this one.
  10. I have the zcon 18 and a new recone ordered.. can't wait. you blew another one? How the hell?
  11. I don't think 8 18s are gonna fit too many ways. Your options are pretty limited.
  12. unfortunatly iv had to recone a lot of subs with the last company I used. Takes about 5-10 minutes each.Just a regular ported wall.
  13. some goodies for the new subs Here was my problem. i needed this real estate to fit the spread the 15s enough to get a decent port in the center. being the pimp that i am i always have supplies handy to fix shit. now its nice and rounded instead of that sharp 90 interfering in the party.
  14. ^^^^^^^^^^^haha what did that say before the edit? ^^^^^ and yes boom is the sound my wall is making as i take the sledge to it. some fitment problems have shown up. need to rework the sides of my enclosure.
  15. im waiting on a email back from the machine shop to see about lead time. i just wanted to see if i was on the right track with my idea.
  16. Recones are all finished up. good as new. pulled the old wall back out today also. tomorrow ill cut my holes in the new baffle and design the port. and do some work inside the wall. ill also add 4 more sets of binding posts and run new 8 gauge speaker wire. ( already have)
  17. thanks notorious, i dont plan on much of an improvement with just changing the subs but when the dual alt setup is finished and the new amps in i hope to see some gain.
  18. So that means its a bad idea? lol just kidding
  19. would it be a benifit for to use a huge distro block to tie all my electrical together? heres what i need to tie in 6-8 runs from alternators 6 batteries and 8 runs to the amps. i cant use buss bars because of how my batteries are arranged. could i just route everything to a big block and run power from there to my amps? i may not have explained that well... it makes sence in my head.
  20. Thanks bro. No work on the doors yet. One project at a time. I'll see you in austin at heatwave if I don't see you before that. Zcons ftw!
  21. Don't flatter yourself fagboy. Go find another buildlog to play in.
