  1. I think Don padded my order some... Well it might be loud. Blew the hinges off.
  2. Good stuff. Thick, sticks well foil is thinner than the sound deadener showdown tiles. So it's easier to work with. Comes in big ass sheets too.
  3. Ironically no, but sound deadener is. And for me, above the window line either.
  4. Is it too early for a 'do over'. Either way, it's all coming out. . Subs and all the tape around the enclosure is out also. Without increasing power, I need to gain at least 1.5 db somewhere.
  5. Blaze is what's on in the picture. It's growing on me. Only reason I want to try the flex is because its supposed to cover better. 6 cans shipped for 38 bucks isn't bad either.
  6. Which one, the blaze or flex blue?
  7. It's fun huh?Actually just bought a sample can of this. If I like it in person, I'll buy a sprayer and gallon product and see what happens.
  8. I appreciate your input. I'll have to think about this
  9. Playing around a little. I will say the blue is probably not going to happen for half the truck. 1. It's 2x the price of standard colors. 2. Coverage is about half of what o get per can of standard colors. 3. It's a damn mess. This shit over sprays the whole garage.
  10. Just got an additional 50 CLD tiles from Don at sound deadener showdown. I love dealing with him. Funny, he told me it's been over 3.5 years that I've been ordering from him. Time flies. Well see how far this gets me then reorder whatever I need after that
  11. Looking good. We actually have a meca show here for the first time. I want to see where my truck fits in terms of class.
  12. Forward progress is good. What meca class will this put you in?
  13. It's a great idea, and a great build. A tribute build does not have to be an exact replica build.Hats of you you and Q for helping these guys get the ball moving with this project. One thing I would love to see again is that bad ass chain driven alternator setup !!!my teammate has the JBL Bronco. He's working on it. It will be at slamology in the XS power booth.
  14. To each his own. I'm just trying to help Quentin spread the brand.
  15. Woofers are in for the project. Comparison to a DC level 4XL 15.
  16. nope. Not trying either. I'm sure I could if I wanted.
  17. Thats sorta my plan, run the Ethos loud and low till the SPL drivers come out. Then upgrade and see what kinda power I can runI'm confident in the Ethos taking power. I say build as loud as you can.
  18. not the goal here. Though once I get the truck dialed in, I will be building a removable port extension so it will make for a good demo truck as well.
  19. I would like to set a new world record. That was ultimately the goal with the camaro, but that project got terminated too early.I guess numbers wise I should shoot for a 161 now. Then up it again. This truck has a ton of potential. At the end of the day I would love to see a 163+ out of it. Anyone that chases numbers knows that once you break over 160, the gains are far and few between. Though I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get where I want to be. I have power limitations in my class and my amps are set just at clipping so there is nothing to gain there. Any other gains will have to come from the truck itself.
  20. Spl lab. You have to buy the sensor still.
  21. It's funny how the extended cab balloons and expands out during a burp. Enough to tear the heavy foil tape.
  22. First burp of the day. Second burp of the day. I'll stop there.
  23. I do. I originally did the whole truck gray. Looked like primer. Then I added the black. Then blue. Then white. Then orange. LolI actually tni k I'll try gray between the black and blue. That may set it off right where I like it.
