  1. They want clout at the country club. She's a several hundred thousand dollar a year oil executive. Probably not buying a mustang. They tried test driving a c7 last night and they wouldn't let them. Possibly lost a 75k cash deal. Dummies.
  2. I guess if you had 100k to spend what sports car would you get?
  3. modest man. 13 f150 lariet
  4. How much of a "track" car can she really handle?as long as its docile when she's not romping on it, should be ok.He don't really looking for a "track" car. Just something he can play with down there to have some fun. Nothing competitive.
  5. The problem is its for his wife mainly. And gently used is an option. She drives a new loaded range rover but want a convertible to drive in the summer. He just wants something he can retain his "man" card when he takes it out to thrash on on the weekend's or to take to the country club.
  6. He was looking at the new jag or Porsche 911. I'm not a big fan of either. I suggested an R8 but they go in the upper 100k range.
  7. budget not set in stone. Automatic would be better for her. I'm buying this for the president of the company. Not for me. If it was for me I would grab a c6 zr1. Not much feeling the c7 yet. Maybe after I drove one though.
  8. Car guys- 100k budget Convertable New or newer Track on the weekends Wife car M-F Ready, GO...
  9. I am one of the fortunate few that have used both. I would say the zcon is king for an all around daily driver if being loud is the main goal.
  10. We pay about 150 per month for all 4 of us and deductible is 1500 max annually. To have my kids it cost us about 900 bucks each out of pocket.
  11. My truck makes me money and I spend a lot of time in it. Might as well be a nice one.
  12. http://www.lonestar-chevrolet.com/VehicleDetails/new-2014-Chevrolet-Silverado_1500-Crew_Cab_Short_Box_4_Wheel_Drive_LT_w%2F1LT-Jersey_Village-TX/2069628173
  13. Well I did it. 2014 Z71 crewcab. Loaded except leather. Too hot in Texas for leather. Although the cooled seats may help. Still don't like it for a daily.
  14. Did my first picnic shoulder on my old smoker last night. In 14 hours I had to reload fuel 4 times. Can't wait for my knock-off to get here. I should have the temp controller before the grill arrives so I can get it all figured out in time.
  15. ill sell ya mine...
  16. Hopefully not before 2016. Let someone else eat depreciationill never buy a used truck after owning a new one.Especially a truck. Ill pay extra for a new one just for the piece of mind. ill only buy a new vehicle if i plan on keeping after its paid off. even then buying a year or two old vehicle is still nice. my wifes 2012 CR-V was about 8K cheaper than a new 2014 with only 26k miles on it.I agree it has its place. When I do drive a distance it is far and Texas is big and desolate in many places. Buying someone else's basket case and driving 12 hours is not appealing to me.My current Silverado is the first truck I have owned new and there is something good feeling knowing nobody has sneezed on the steering wheel, farted on the leather, of wiped a booger somewhere in your truck.
  17. i think about that all the time and im so jelly it meant a lot more when I actually used my truck for work. Now I only get it because they forgot to remove it from my contract when I got promoted. I rarely use my truck for "work". As a matter of fact ill probably start driving the camaro as it gets finished up.
  18. Plus the interest rate I get on a new vehicle vs a used one save me some money. And I get a truck allowance...
  19. payday?no.. just had a heavy day, .. i ran almost 16K in parts 28 stops .. and i fucked that route in the ass! i was still out by 5 pm. and i ran over 200 miles. 300 dollar day.. its good for me. in my tax bracket see. Was a payday.
  20. Hopefully not before 2016. Let someone else eat depreciationill never buy a used truck after owning a new one. Especially a truck. Ill pay extra for a new one just for the piece of mind.
  21. I see a 14 Silverado 4x4 z71 in my very near future
  22. Not a bad looking cooker. Very similar to the egg. Should work out well. Everything out the door was $810Ill order the Bbq guru temp controller with WiFi when I get home from the gym. Shouldn't need anything else I dont think. I already have a pizza stone and racks for ribs.
  23. Went ahead and bought the "knockoff". good reviews online and good price. Many comparisons to the egg as comparable or better. Same features. Seems like a no brainer to me.
  24. Dealer here wants like 200 for the stand, 100 for the cover. 900 for the egg, not sure on the stone or second rack and side tables. My boss just bought his with the above additions plus a couple bags of lump charcoal. 1680 out the door.
