Thanks buddy. Bassmaster is probably right about the losing power on 4 amps. I'm just waiting for money now to get my recones ordered... I'll continue to play with just the 2 5ks for now.

I'm working on it. The way they are stacked its hard to move speaker wires around.

Back down to 2 amps at .5 each and did a 58.2. I'm gonna call that a win since I demoed real hard yesterday and didn't put it on the charger. Now that I know its not something old causing problems in the new set up.

I've seen guys here locally with more amp and less electrical burping at .25 every show. Who knows. My voltage drop at .25 is very small, that's why I think there is an additional issue here. My plan now is to go back to the beginning. 2 amps strapped @ 1ohm. If I can duplicate my old numbers then ill introduce the maxxlink back into the picture. Tune and Fo for numbers. Then when I'm happy ill add the two new amps back and see what happens. In the end I feel I just need to recone to D1s. It just sucks cutting unto a perfectly good speaker.

I'm not getting real good numbers at 1 ohm so that makes me think my rise is high. I can't keep them our of protect at .25 so that makes me think my rise is real low. I guess I need to figure it out. I did a 158.7in 2 5ks @.5 each. Best is 157.9 in 4 5ks at 1ohm each. Something is not making sense.

i am still having issues but went to a show for demos anyway to represent. even not at full power its still very impressive. I did a pretty cool 4 bottle, bottle trick bbut my video missed a lot of it. i didnt burp it but i did a 155.6 streetbeat run and took 1st. another 1st place for team SSA.

Got a 159.0 at .25 each. I can't get much volume before it goes into protect. Prolly time to recone to D1s and strap at 1ohm per pair.

They are in fact strapped at .5 ( thanks bassaholic for helping me understand it also.) Each amp is seeing .25, and ill be playing music on it.

i enlisted the help of my buddy eric "big guns" to help get all this wired up. i didnt gain anything the the 2 extra 5ks and maxxlink so i scrapped it and strapped 2 pairs at .5 so each amp is seeing .25 and no help fome the maxx link. i have a show tomorrow and have no idea what to expect. i just finished rewiring it and ive about 3 stiff drinks in so i cant take it to my spot to test it. well see tomorrow... 2 pairs strapped at .5

nothing to speak of as yet. 157.9. i think my maxxlink is causing me problems. cant seem to get the amps to make power. im gonna just hook each sub to each amp on its own and see if that gains me anything. if not ill have 2 new dc5ks for sale! Ive never used the maxx link before, it dosent seem complicated.. just not working right

got the amps in and went to do a test run but the ipod was dead!!!!! did a 55.x with a song on the radio. need to tune this maxxlink and charge the ipod. ill test more later and try to get the alternators in.

Meh, prolly not.

It's not actually doubling power. I have the 2 5ks at .5 each now and ill have all 4 at 1ohm each. I think the 3db rule is void at 160 dbs.

I'll be honest guys, I'm a little nervous installing these last two amps. There is a lot of hype surrounding this build and I don't want to disappoint myself or any of you guys.
