yea i'd say rca's is most likely the problem......but make sure ur grounds r tight before you replace the rca's

big 3 will help.....i was at 14.0v at idle and it would drop as low as 10v-9v...i did the big 3 and at full tilt idling at a stop light the lowest i get is 13.6v...and driving at normal speeds(40mph) i stay above 14.0 thats with stock alt and a cheap battery

the treos will sound great i had two 15's the same model in a ported box good sound quality

im a big treo fan. my first real setup was 2 treo te series 15's in a huge ported box tuned at 45hz. very hard hitters for the bullshit amp it had..honest oppinion u would be more satisfied with 2 15s rather than 1 12. but i've never heard any aa subs so i dont dunno the sq but treo's have good sound quality.

im interested in the bracing info too. i took my box apart to change the tuning on my port and had like 5 of the 20 screws ive taken out so far are snapped.

so since u didnt exactly answer my question is the seamless look on the box from sanding and paint? its awesome looking like it fiberglass or sumthing really nice man

ok thanx guys now i just gotta figure out how how much to add or remove to/from my port length so i used the re calculator and adding 1" to the width of the port and taking 7.5" out of the length put me tuned at 40 hz so imma do that today and see how it sounds

ok once again the amp isnt turned up very high only thing turned up is the gain and its a lil over halfway. and as far as trashing it from heat i could care less it was free and i have 2 saz1500's gettin repaired...... ^^^^didnt mean to sound like a dick above ^^^ m3. . . . i like the lows because of the feel and the pressure so thats why i tune low..........my last setup was 2 treo 15's in a big ass box tuned at close to 50 hz and it slammed really hard. it just didnt hit low's they sounded nasty. this is gonna be my first setup with all "Real" equip .my electrical could be better other than that there will be no junk equip. im goin for crazy airflow and flex just to show off with. ill go for SQ next setup when i get board with this one. if i decide to keep it in the back seat and seal between the cab and trunk how should i face the sub and port ?

yeah i love the lows it hits but the lows is all that really sounds good. 37hz was an estimate what would you recommend to be tuned at for a little higher response while still hitting lows? i really dont know jack about ported boxes. here in oklahoma most people i know use prefab ported or sealed boxes so i could use the knowledge. amp is doing ok now until it gets hot i only gotta deal with it for another week and ill have the sundown goodness lol

its tuned at 30 hz.....its 4.6 cu.ft w/ sub and port displacement the amp does not have subsonic just gain, frequency, and bass boost knobs im building a new box tuned higher like 37hz w/ kerf port and double baffle

yea i dunno wut the output voltage of the mp3 player is but the h/u is 4v and i did readjust the gain and boost when i hooked up the h/u. now boost is all the way down by low i mean low like i said earlier the lowest note in basstronics- bass i love you or the lowest in jeezy's - put on

ok i turned the bass boost all the way down definately sounds better. my ol lady dont like it loud as shit like i do so havent got to test the lows yet today. electrical wise i have brand new stock alt new $50 battery big 3 i have two volt meters the one on my h/u doesnt drop below 12.5 cranked on lows and the other one runs at 12.8 cranked on lows. so i should be good there but i think cable guy is right about getting to hot to quick while running 1 ohm ive been running this amp at 1 ohm for bout 6 months no problems until i got the new h/u i think the bass boost had sumthing to do with it too. so when i get my saz1500 back the only things i should adjust are the gain and the lpf right?

ok so i have a bazooka 500wrms mono im running until i get my saz-1500 fixed.... its running a fosgate power hx2 at 1ohm. its a damn good amp for the brand. i dont know much about it but lately since i got a h/u instead of my mp3 player it goes into protect when the bass hits real low note like on bass i love you for example the real low note when u get major excurssion it goes into protect. is it cause its not 1 ohm stable? gain is about 2/3 up frequency is all the way down bass boost is about 1/4 up sub level on pioneer 680mp is at about -10 thanx in advance

alton designed it for me and he said"this is 3.5cuft net, including the sub and port displacment the box is 4.66 cuft. The best use of space I could come up with is 20" H x 15" D x 35.750" W with a 3" port width and total length of 31" for 30hz tuning" and its outter dims... its mounted in the backseat well replacing my backseat of a 76 chevy caprice. sub and port facing windshield also sub is centered aiming between the front seats with port on passenger side. right now its powered by a monoblock bazooka 500w rms(supposedly) but i got a saz1500 fixin to be sent out for repair while i build a new box........i used the backseat because the trunk would take WAAYYYY to much time and money to seal off due to rust and stop rattles
