Nightshade or SXX?
I've been looking at some youtube videos of the XCON 15's wow impressive, ive never seen a 15 hit notes like that before! I think im sold on it. Hearing the support is good does it for me, anyone else care to chime in before I spend the $400?

Nightshade or SXX?
Ok so if I go with a SSA XCON 15 D2 how is the customer support? Does SSA stand behind the sub? I was just reading about it in the SSA Store and wholy shit 1750rms and 31mm of excursion!!! Wow thats impressive. What do you guys think about a Ported to 35hz or Sealed enclosure.... I love how tight sealed is but im not sure about how this sub handles it, and for ""SQL"" I bet Sealed will sound nicer.

Nightshade or SXX?
Yeah I hear you on the power handling, my goal is a daily driven system that is rock solid reliable with good SQ but also impressive SPL. I don't know if there is such a thing but im going to try and achieve it. My only concern is the Nightshade will have to be used and its no longer in production :-/ I might try and see if I can afford a RE 15 MX that could handle the power, but also I could just get a RE 15 SXX D4 and run it at 2ohms to be closer to its power handling?

Looking to buy a 1500watt AMP Need Opinions
Nightshades aren't in production anymore if your wanting a new one (and the V2's aren't due for a while). FYI. Might have to hunt for a 2nd hand one around the traps. Jono I found a 15 nightshade d2 on the forums, but I wanna make sure its a better quality sub than a RE SXX 15 D2, I heard someone say the Nightshades have issues with the voice coil wires coming unglued?

Waiting on jacob! lol The end of the month, and no amps, but I 'll wait because it will be worth it! But he did send me my 125.2 already! and trust me as soon as I get them you will see picture's! Because I'm going to gizz on them! lmao! plz take pre-jizz photos.... and steveman, this price is cheap, and I'm surprised they aren't gone already, don't haggle. Sorry I wasn't trying to haggle, I just threw an offer out there for what I had available is all, doesn't matter anyways I found another one somewhere else for 300. Sorry If I pissed you off, it wasn't my goal.

Looking to buy a 1500watt AMP Need Opinions
Good amp but the sundown is better and cheaper, very underrated amp (a 1200 watt amp that puts out 1700 watts, can you say ridiculous). Ok well its done! I bought a SUNDOWN SAZ-1500D with light use for $320 off a member on here. Now to order the SUB! RE 15' SXX or Sundown Nightshade 15' D2?

Nightshade or SXX?
So I'm getting a Sundown SAZ-1500D AMP from a member on here, when I stumbled upon a Sundown Nightshade 15" D2 for a really good deal, I know nothing about the sub. The car will be a daily driver and I was originally going with a RE Audio SXX 15" D2, so is the sundown a better sub? Pro's and Con's of both?

I have $300.00 sitting in my paypal account, will you take $300 shipped to 97008? Also I assume the amp is tested and in perfect "working/Mechanical" condition? Thanks Steve

Kappa VS Reference
I have all Infinity Kappa's in my car and I have had several amps on them from Deck power to my USAMP and I can tell you they are Power Hungry! I ran them off deck power for 6 months are was very disappointed no bass at all and just highs, then put them on a PG ZX475ti 4-channel and they sounded much better but still crappy bass, now I have them powered by a USAMPS XT1600.4 V2 Amp and all I can say is WOW they WOKE UP! They don't even sound like the same speakers, they needs lots of power to sound good. I'm very happy with them ive had them for 4 years now and still going strong, so they have my vote. BTW Kappa's are much better than References, the REF's are entry level the Kappa's are the upper end. ive also had type'r's they did get a tad bit louder but the sound quality wasnt as good as the kappa's

Looking to buy a 1500watt AMP Need Opinions
Ok so I'm in the market to buy another amp for my new sub setup. My Car is a 94 Legend Coupe 6.5" Infinity Kappa Fronts 6x9' Infinity Kappa Rears USAMPS XT1600.4 V2 Amp Running the Kappa's Now I'm needing to power (1) 15-inch RE SXX D2 Subwoofer in a 35hz Ported 3cft Custom Fiberglass/Wood Spare Tire Enclosure These are the amps im looking at : USAMPS MD-2D 1500rms@1ohm $319.99 MTX TE1501D 1500rms@1ohm $369.99 Kicker KX1500.1 1500rms@2ohms $359.99 (if I get this amp I would buy the RE SXX D4 of course) So what amp should I get? The car is a daily driver, so efficiency and SQ is important to a certain extent but not a MUST, im willin to sacrifice some efficiency for power. The Alternator is a stock 110amp right now, but im upgrading it to a 200amp. The battery right now is a Dry Cell Exide Orbital Deep Cycle, i'm planning to add a Kenitek HC2000 in the trunk for the amps.

MTX vs USAMPS
Wow that is very interesting, can you show me a link to the data that states that feature? That would definitely be a deciding factor for a Daily Driver Setup! I called USAMPS today and spoke with them about the 15" SXX Dual 2-ohm Sub woofer and they recommended : 6.0cft Ported Enclosure tuned to 35hz 1500watts RMS at 1ohm BTW another thing I noticed the MTX lists some nasty THD and SN Ratio Specs : MTX TE1501D : # THD at 4-Ohm RMS Power: <0.5% <---that's at 4ohms and already terrible imagine at 1ohm! # Signal to Noise Ratio: 69 dB <---thats not on par for a new age amp USAMPS MD-2N : THD at 1ohm 0.03% Signal to Noise ratio: 89dB

MTX vs USAMPS
I'm in the process of trying to decide between these 2 amps : MTX TE1501D Elite $339 USAMPS MD-2D $319 The car will be a daily driver. The subwoofer will be : RE AUDIO 15" SEX -or- RE AUDIO 15" SX I've heard the MD-2D isnt very clean, but I do love USAMPS from my expierence in the past they are GREAT amps, but for my pricerange these are the 2 amps im looking at. I have no expierence with MTX, so I ask you what is a better amp? What are the Pros and Cons of both. Also would a MD-2N be overkill for a 15" RE SXX? Would an MD-1DN do the job?
