  1. This has been common knowledge for quite some time. I can understand why it has not been done on commuter cars as I don't think it would be too attractive and not many people would like it, but on semis, trains, and plains, this could save so much energy it's ridiculous. The ONLY negative I see is repairs. It would be almost impossible to match a curved surface without replacing an entire panel. I would say, on a semi, train or airplane they probably replace the entire panel anyways because its cheaper to replace it then to keep the machine down for that long. I'm sure an engineer could come up with a easy way to manufacture dimples into it That will give a whole new meaning to VW Golf. But yeah, it's not that pretty. Maybe they can embed it using not so big, dimpled sheets. So when the surface gets damaged you won't be replacing that big of a piece. But then you would have a lot more connection points to the vehicle. Oh, science.

  8. It has been like 10 days since I last worked on the box... :/ Someone took my camera, so I'll post these not so good phone pictures. The 45 at the end of the port. Gluing it. 4 screws in the back. One clamp on top and note the big scrap piece of wood I made for a minute. It has a rectangle cut in it so you can put it in the corners of the box. Bought some t-nuts. I'll be using the old hex head screws I had. End of the port. Routed on both sides. Then went through the belt sander. Gluing the baffle. 6 clamps and 4 screws. That's enough right?
  9. Looks great. The thing I don't like is that when you hide it it makes you offline in the chat bar. Would be cool if it stays hidden but you can still get messages.
  10. Tomorrow again. Scott/Nick I've send the email.

  19. I don't know much about taking pictures. Gluing... Glued. Some minor sanding on the right too. Baffle. And the flushing panel. The bigger circle is not sanded yet. Needs a little bit more work on it. I had to put it. Looks nice. That's it for today.
  20. I've seen better. I am thinking about using MDF only for the kerf. Plywood is PITA for kerfing...
