  1. first question: What would be the smallest enclosure you all would reccommend for two fully loaded 18" BTLs seeing about 3500watts(rms)/sub, tuned to the low/mid 30s and mainly for daily driving (with maybe the occassional competition)? second question: i know on your site it says the btl comes in a 10" size, but i thought i remember some problems with it so you all quit making them as 10s. im basically wanting to know if u all still make a 10" BTL that is built for pure spl? thanks, andy mods: u can move this to the FI technical section if u want...didnt know where to put it.

i was wondering how much the 40.1s are? (shoot me a pm if you dont/cant post it in here plz) also, with the proper electrical, can the 40.1s be burped at a .35load? thanks
  3. thanks guys, that was our first time painting an mdf box...i now can appreciate a nicely painted box because that thing took forever to get it like we wanted it. i really cant remember the dimensions off the top of my head,me and the buddy i built it for arent really on speaking terms for some personal reasons or i would ask him. but i am going to say 40ish long x 15ish tall x 8.5ish top depth x 12ish bottom depth...its been like a year and i cant remember exactly. oh yea, its 2.5cubes net tuned around 30 if i remember correctly
  4. PORT that baby!

  6. late 90's dodge ram 2500. 12" FI Q, hifonics amp, box is 2.5cubes net tuned to like 30... we did have to weld some new brackets on the center console to move it about 3" forward so the box would fit..but u can hardly tell.. before: after: mounted the amp under the center console box installed sounds amazing /story

    test pic of system
  8. i have considered that, but i wanna upgrade the alt and battery to a kinetik hc2400, odessy, or something before i decide to go all out spl. we shall see what happens though
  9. i'd like to seriously get into spl, but as a college kid with no money car audio is an extremely expensive hobby. i pretty much spent all the money i made over the summer on this system. i graduate in about a year and half and would like to purchase an extended cab truck and put this system in it for decent sq (nothing serious). then keep my accord and use it for spl comps (probably street a or B). i know a trunk isn't the easiest to get loud, but i like a challenge.

  13. just thought i would post some pics of my current setup since im new to the forum. keep in mind this is my first install my first box i built, but it sounds good. i got 1/0 gauge running from the front to rear battery (both negative and positive). i still need to clean it up with some vinyl panels. i have the panels made, now i just need to test my vinyling skills ( )...anyways...here they are...nevermind...can't seem to load the pics but here are the links, http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/car_audio_85...3f6.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/car_audio_85...1e9.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/car_audio_85...7a7.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/car_audio_85...178.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/car_audio_85...9e8.jpg&.src=ph and now for the stinger battery in the trunk... http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/car_audio_85...c06.jpg&.src=ph
  14. with the right box and enough power i think maybe. but for daily that sub should only see 1500 watts max, imo, for burps no more then 2500. just be careful if you burp with that much (or have plenty of recones ) oh..the sq prob wont be that great with 1500 on it for daily

hey all. im new to the forum, but not to car audio. currently running (2) 10" SE's off a RE12.1 in a 92 accord, everything firing forward and sealed off from the trunk. they sound sweet as hell. might not post much, but im sure i will be hanging around.

  18. hey. first post here. i have (2)10" SE's running off a RE12.1. they are in separate 1.5cf boxes tuned to about 35hz and sound sweet and get loud as hell. the se and xxx are geared toward more sq, whereas the sx is more for spl. if you are willing to sacrafice some sq then i'd defineately go with the sx's. if you want to compete but have good sq, then id go with the xxx's. i've heard that the xxx's like 1500watts+. my se's are probably seeing around 650. good luck.
