  1. Obvious answer. I've just read/heard of many people using 8 gauge speaker wire. Wondering if they solved this problem another way. Only reason it is needed is for very high power systems, 3,000+ rms per sub. Most subs that need that much have terminals capable of taking 8awg, so you just have to trim each a little. I'll just trim, it's cool. Thanks.

  3. How do you guys make this connection? I bought 8 gauge speaker wire thinking "Yeah! This will be some great speaker wire" but now at this connection point I have to fit two ends of wire into the terminal. I'll have to cut off a lot of strands. I didn't have to do this on my last system as is wasn't wired down to 1 ohm. Anything I'm missing here? Or is that the only solution? Thanks.
  4. IT'S HERE! Lookey what was next to the garage as I pulled up.. Just like Christmas.. Beautiful looking box. (With helper in back) Box feels VERY sturdy. Will look great with everything installed. This was the last piece of the puzzle. Extremely impressed. Thanks a lot Andrew!
  5. Okay thanks, sounds good. And the pictures, I certainly will.
  6. I recently bought a 1200d v2 from db-r and mine came with a bass remote?
  7. Will do. Although my tracking says it departed San Pablo on Friday. Hasn't arrived anywhere yet. That's one dedicated driver to drive two days straight oh well. It'll get here when it gets here.
  8. Hmm. Just where there isn't a sharp connection of the wood. It may be the flared I am talking about. I have just seen it on the majority of your enclosures.
  9. I bet Andrew enjoys scrolling through all the emoticons
  10. I'm curious as to what happened to the previous rounded ports?
  11. For a second there thought your box was smoking But then realized it's padding
  12. Weldingsupply.com Should check it out.
  13. I am looking to get a new head unit. I wanted to ask the experts first. Is this one any good? 4 volt preamps. 6 channel preamp outputs. etc. http://outlet.crutchfield.com/p_613KDCX494/Kenwood-Excelon-KDC-X494.html?ssi=0&tp=13566&tab=features_and_specs
  14. Weldingsupply.com ftw. Did my Big Three with their cable. Btw, I actually have my 12" BL fully loaded on the way as well. And my SAE 1200d is already waiting. Seems like a popular combination of sub/amp.
  15. I've contacted excessive amperage and got a quote from them for a 200 amp alternator. $385. Have already done the big three. I put a picture up. It's one of the first threads under the electrical/etc board. The alternator will be the last thing I buy though.
  16. I know. I'm cool with waiting. The anticipation is killing me though!
  17. All sounds good so far. Thanks. Can't wait.
  18. Will do! Everything is on the way/ordered. Although I ordered the fi 7 days ago and it hasn't shipped yet
  19. I kinda agree. Notice the black zip tie holding it down right next to the cover
  20. that bl will make the kicker comps sound like 6.5" mids Sweet. Another question. My friend has this sub (link below) running at about 900 RMS. Even though he has more cone area, what would the comparison be? Btw, his is rather loud, makes my eyes vibrate. Ballparking again. Thanks. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lHiLwgf2k3F/p_575RFR3115/Rockford-Fosgate-Power-HX2-RFR3115.html?search=rfr3115&tp=111
