  1. I currently have 2 Kicker Comps 10" (lol, I know) running at 150 RMS each in a sealed enclosure. I have a Fi BL 12" on the way that will be powered by a Sundown SAE 1200d in a ported enclosure. Just curious as to how much of a difference there should be? Should be a lot, hopefully. I realize there is a lot of variables that involve this. But just ballpark it.
  2. Right. Thanks. The engine-chassis is connected at the same point. Guess I'll just find a new bolt for that too. It doesn't have to be the same right? Because the stock ground is the same for both.
  3. So basically ANY bolt on the chassis will work?
  4. Here is my progress of the Big 3 on my Sentra. http://i35.tinypic.com/5flyyu.jpg Now here is the stock grounding point for the battery/engine chassis. (That little screw back there) Since it is in the most extremely awkward position, can I instead ground to here with the new cable?
  5. Anything wrong with Excessive Amperage? D:
  6. Yeah, my quote from DC for a 200 amp was $480. Not including shipping... From Exccessive Amperage though it was $385.
  7. I had a similar problem. Couldn't find a HO alternator for my Nissan Sentra. Give DC a call, number is (1-951-509-5617) When I called, they walked me through the process, asked a few questions, and gave me a quote right there. Good luck. Another brand you might have better luck with is Excessive Amperage, i emailed them and they got back to me within a day.
  8. What kind of car? I have a Nissan also. Could it be a Sentra?
  9. But just attaching to the stock terminals is okay right? It's only 2 extra wires. And i've already confirmed that they would fit.
  10. I just went outside and discovered that they will all fit on the pre existing terminal xP Thanks for your help though.
  11. But would that work with two runs of 1/0 plus the few small wires currently running to the terminal? This is what I was planning on getting: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KBT-30P
  12. I'm planning adding some some battery terminals from knu konceptz, but there are about 3 smaller (stock) cables currently running to the power terminal now. Could I just combine all these and use them in one of the 0 gauge ports of the knu konceptz terminal? And then leave the two remaining 0 gauge ports for big 3 cable/amp cable? thanks.
  13. Ha. Where are these alternator shops you speak of? Do you mean like some car parts store or something ofthe like? I live in macon, Georgia. Never seen or heard of an alternator shop.
  14. Talked with a guy at excessive amperage, and he told me he could custom build me a 200 amp alternator for $385. Sounds like a steal to me..?
  15. Yes BUT I would want that to be a last resort deal. Since that would be the most expensive option. Just trying all my options first, ya know?
  16. My current car is running off the stock 80 amp alternator. I am planning on soon putting 1200 watts RMS through the system. How will I know if I need an extra battery, or new alternator, or what? Thanks.
  17. Just gave them a call. $480 for a 180 amp alternator seems way steep to me.
  18. I have looked all over and can not find a high output alternator for a 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8L. Any help?
  19. And where, good sir, is this section? I see "General" "Products" and "Technical" He already stated "Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical. " This isn't Fi related... It's about your electrical... P.S if you buy a cheap sh*t alt, not only will it most likely be worse then oem, but it'll fail from all the stress. Buy a decent aftermarket alt or don't buy one at all. I suggest adding a battery or two as well, this will take some stress off the alt... Sorry about that. Since Fi is what I'm planning on purchasing this is where I assumed to go. I'll know next time. Thanks for the tips also.
  20. And where, good sir, is this section? I see "General" "Products" and "Technical"
  21. And what should I look for? And what to do if I start seeing bad things?
  22. Not sure about voltage drop. Though I do have very minor light dim when a note hits hard in my current system (300 watts RMS )
  23. I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra (1.8L) that has the stock alternator putting out 80 amps. I am looking to soon be running 1200 watts RMS through the system. I know I will have to do SOMETHING with the electrical system. But what? New alternator? Extra battery? (Big three is a given) If new alternator, would the one in the link below be suffice? (20 extra amps) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120530973171&viewitem=&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2&category=33573
  24. Only you would know that. This is not a Sentra forum. lol I would doubt it, but go measure your trunk and come back. Just measured and got these numbers. (Not exact by any means) 39" wide (between the wheel wells) 29" deep 15" tall only way it would fit is if you had it upfiring or down firing, considering this is going in a trunk I would do down firing so your trunk lid doesn't rattle as much. But you may gain or lose output from down firing, only way to know is to test it out. So a 12" facing the rear may be a better way to go. ^^^this just get a 12 you will be happy. Cool, got it. Any tips on building this box. I've researched a lot. Done the calculator, etc. Yet people say don't use the calculator. I've heard that I can get someone to design/build a box for me somehow?

Building the box scares me though.
