I still can't believe how big this amp is for a front stage amp. Wow What a beast and I love the plexiglass bottom. I was thinking of going one for the amp and this saved me some time and money. Shes going to power a pair of Seas Excel W18NXs and Seas Prestige 27TBFC/Gs. They are in the mail and should be here monday or tuesday. . Thnx again Denim and Flakko for making a happy customer.

I run my two 12s @ 3 cubes net sealed. around 1.5 each and they loovvee ittt. I get dangerous lows with the MD2 down almost low as it goes and my HU on -11 db on the HU output.

I plan on purchasing this amp very soon to run my planned active front stage setup and I would like to know how much power this amp puts out at 8 ohm and 6 ohm. I also want to know just to be sure would I be fine running 2 channels at 8 ohms and 2 channels at 6 ohms with it. Thnx in advance to any and all that can help me out.

JBL based= atleast rated power. I'd jump to make the swap.

My Eclipse 8454 Xovers...What kind of amp would you guys suggest I go with? I was thinking of going with a Merlin MD43.

Ok. Nextel it is. Is it bad to have speakers that are 8 ohm and tweeters that are 4 ohm? Also will I be able to run the speakers at 8 ohm and the tweeters a 4 ohm or will everything have to run at 4 ohm?

I was planning on going DIY active 2 way in the not to distant future and I was wondering what is a good Midrange that someone would recommend that likes around 75-100 watts @ 4 ohm. I was going to go with the Seas Nextel 7" but the puppy is a 8 ohm and I'm not sure if I have enough power to make it feel really comfortable. I'd like some recomendations of a 6.5" or 7" woofer with like 3 inches/3 & 1/2 of mounting depth to work with. My budget is ummm say $100-$150 per woofer but not set in stone if something that will sound awesome, clear, and low distortion cost just a little more. For now I plan on using the Seas 27TAFNC/G (H1397) 1" aluminum dome tweeter. Having bought anything yeat though. Just looking to make my upgrade from my current front stage worthwhile and fun.

I was looking for something nice to go with my Samsung 32" HDTV and PS3 to play my blu-ray movies on and video games. P.S. i'm looking for a good 5.1 setup. with a good reciever, 80 watts to the 5 speakers and like 1 sub that can handle 200 watts and sounds clear and deep. i'm up for getting one of those powered subwoofers if i find a good option that doesn't have all the speakers and reciver bundled. I'd be weary of that if it were a price for the MD2... and still call them if it was a price on the MD1D. so you do the math hehe...

I got a friend 4 12s of those in his S10... They wang pretty good. He got em for $300 straight from the dealer....

I'd get the 8053... one of the better eclipse units they've made in the last 5-10 years. Can't get enough of my 8454. Simple, Feature whore that does its job.

If its a US Amp it does atleast rated power ...

If you mean the MD2D... I'd imagine you'd get 1800 pure watts from it @ 14.4... Thats my best guess. I think I get like 1550 out of mine @ 12.8

I co-sign with the above two... if the two 12s I run can handle 1800 that one 18 should easily handle the 1200-1500 you will be giving it with the gains down.
