1 sheet of 4'x8'??

How much mdf would i need to build a sealed 3 cubic foot enclosure for my 15" xcon

You know you guys mentioned that you heard voices coming from my sub in the video, i watched the video, and listened, that wasn't from the sub that was from my back speakers, my back 6x9's are crossovered at 40hz with a lot of bass boost.

only lumber yard close to me is menards, i'll see if i can get a ride, since I have no license at the moment. Thanks

I would like to know where I can get some MDF for a temporary/test enclosure I plan to build, I don't care how cheap or low in quality it is, since this will only be a test enclosure, I live in southern wisconsin, if you know of any stores here or any online shops that are cheap let me know. This will be for my 15" xcon for a temporary sealed enclosure for now, and after I get it in its new enclosure I will use this box for future testing purposes. i did do a quick search through the forums and I got zero results, kinda weird.

can you please explain to me exactly why the door will wreck it and I will be done on this topic and leave you guys alone. Please

its not intimidating I will try and build a box but i expect help when i need it, i will be nice but i'd like help. and infinite baffle requires a large room which it is in one, so i dont understand this how it can destroy it being in the door, its not my attitude i really don't understand how it can wreck it under such low power. the amps power supply shuts off before it gets to loud.

you know you guys say i'm not doing things right, yet i am building my box to what you guys suggested, I got the speaker you guys suggested, and I am seeking out pros on here to build it. So I am just a little confused.

I know what sounds good, i have heard good subs and I have a pair of $160 dj headphones. I'm not saying it sounded great, It sounded loud. like spl loud for 200 watts. and if you would of read the whole topic, i dropped the carpet idea and asked for ideas to what color to paint the inside. I may not of heard a ton of speakers, but I do not what good sound is. And I did ask a lot of people to what box is best and I came up with that 4.0 cubic foot box tuned at 29hz

I normally do post the link but I was in a hurry since I was busy making food, and I did do the door thing just because i was curious if it would work, its always interested me. i am taking it down tomorrow, it did suck at anything above 35hz though but that is expected. I want to build a box but my mom wont let me use her wood, and I am saving eevery penny I can get for my new enclosure, here is the link. I have been broke since the xcon, I sold some stuff and borrowed money from my mom to get it, I just sold my old kove subwoofer this morning, I am gonna try and order a box from one of the guys on here. If you search you can find the enclosure I wan't built.

I want a box built by the pros on here, but its gonna be awhile since they got there jobs and stuff to do.

I am sorry for anyone that i have bothered with this, i just was looking for some laughs and some conversation, if you wan't me to change anything, do please tell me, it is ok if you are blunt about it just as long as it is informative.

I did state once i knew a little bit about infinite baffle, but I am not a pro, this is a first time setup and it was for just a 2 day demonstration and test run, to see how it would sound. I just get bored and I like to experiment, I like to try cool, or expensive setups for little to no cost when I get bored. And even if I didn't set this up right some songs sound awesome on here. and you can't really hear the 10hz on here but you sure can feel it, the whole house shakes.

can you guys just please, help me out and let me have my fun, i know what I am doing may not be the best thing to do, but just judge without getting the whole story, plus I am not a genius. i am here to learn.

um you can hear it, you can hear below 20hz if you are hitting volumes of above 120db, look it up, if you wanna see true loudness, google the rotary subwoofer, that thing can flex garage doors. and I have sonys best headphones that can hit down to 5hz and i have heard 5hz before, it is really quiet but it was there. and i have great hearing, I have been in sound test before, and I could hear up to 28,000hz, that was a few years ago though, idn if i can hear that anymore after all my loud music.

Yes, ive run many test sounds. I know my info may not be exact but under the circumstances, and the fact i was just doing this for the fun of it, to just pass by some time. Its something to do in this boring town while I wait for my new enclosure.

hm either way if i'm ignored or not, this is to everyone, I don't get how some people can be like this, I have been nice, I dont belittle people. And I have stated many times that i am going to wait but no one seems to get it, idn if people are just not reading all the post or what. And its not the fact i'm inpatient its the fact I am extremely extremely bored. you guys have no idea how bored i get here, its depressing sometimes.

Its setup about the same way that all the how-to sites tell you to, and like i said this is temporary like 2 days temporary, i was bored, if you seriously think this was permanent your very un-observant. since i stated temporary, and i sold my enclosure, so I have no box and no way to make a box. and its not the fact its only 200watts its the fact its underpowered. my power supply is only 25 amps which cant power the amp fully. and i downloaded songs with 10hz in it.

the enclosure was professionally built, it pounded hard in there like no tomorrow, I am talking about 10hz-20hz frequency's it sound better in door, but the enclosure sounded great for 20-80hz

I wasnt a good driver at first, but ive had tons of practice since i love driving.
