well i also use my trunk as a trunk sometimes, and i had someones purse near the port once and it suck the tampons out of the purse there was like 3 laying in the port and i guess one went all the way in.

I know, but when I took apart my kove once, it had dust, a few leaves, and yes even a tampon on the inside of it, so stuff does get in there.

The guy doing this is Audibel Customs so he is good, and dust, it sucks a lot of air so its bound to get dust The inside of my kove got dusty over the last 4 years. Plus I dont want the port carpet, or the kerfed part, I want the port painted black, and I did ask for suggestions to what to do to the inside besides the color white.

he's just asking what the loudest db rating is for any single 15" at all in any kind of setup.

hmmm, well I don't know where I read that but the best score I could find was 176 and it was with two of them, the best I could find for a single one was 154db.

I read a guy used 2 of the 18" and hit 187db, it was in a magazine.

Well the last time I read about the solo-x was over a year ago when it was new to the market, and I read that it held the world record so I just figured. I didn't do a ton of research on it. I only do tons of research on what I am building, and I plan on keeping my hearing for a little while anyways lol.

noob i'm just suggesting loud. I won't ever buy one i have a ssa xcon on the way, xcons are excellent for everyday listening, but if you want just spl insane loud solo-x's aren't bad, they are expensive though. I know someone who has two 12" solo-x's and his ears have bled twice already and hes only 21. I know hes an idiot but still impressive.

ya, but white gets dirty easy, and then how would I clean it, when it does get dirty, and I already have someone who said they will build this box for $265 so I plan on going though him unless someone offers a cheaper price. If you have an idea on what to do to the inside, where it won't appear to get dusty or dirty over time let me know

If you want insane loudness, get either a 12" or a 18" Kicker solo-x. They may not be the bet speaker in the world, but they can reach a 170db easily even 180db if ur lucky.

-- For the speaker terminals I would like two gold plated ones for each voice coil, place them on the bottom of the rear, where ever they look the nicest, and then in one of the bottom rear corners put a smaller speaker terminal so i can run a wire for my neon also. And to clarify on the plexi windows, I want one in the middle of the rear and the top of the enclosure. And get good terminals, for example you could get monster cable terminals or something.

Also to add for future reference, I would like the inside of the port painted black, the outside a dark charcoal, and the inside covered with a really light charcoal carpet that matches the outside but a lot lighter in color, since I plan on putting a neon on the inside.

well i dont have a ps3 but i do have a xbox 360. One problem is that I have played all the games to much, and I don't want to spend 40-60 bucks on a new game.

well i didnt notice a difference with some songs but others i did, my radio supports 16 gigs so I have tons of room left. so I might as well get the better version.

well i dont own a ipod and i cant afford one right now, and my kenwood x991 has a usb cable for a ipod.

ya my equipment is decent, i am using fully powered polk momo speakers, with a kove subwoofer, i turned off all my EQ's for the songs to compare.

I know you said techno is not a good example, but i compared the same daft punk song from, a 192kb mp3 and a 1016kb mp4 file and the mp4 was incredibly better sounding, I am happy in my finds so far, now i wish basshunter and some of those other bands would do mp4

ya i ran into flac on my google searches, but the best format my car stereo supports is mp4 so im gonna try and find them
