  1. Are the tweeters going to be mounted flat in the dash, reflecting off the windshield? You should be happy with the staging, the tweeters that high will definetly bring the stage up nicely and put it right in front of you. I want to say I had the jumpers set to "0" with the tweeters in factory dash location and ALL drivers wired "in phase" with each other. LOoking gOod brOther. Yeah, the staging is great, i was driving around and the dash is my favorite spot, with the tweeters flat in the dash, but faced towards me (cause of the swivel) The tweeters are at 0 and i'm surprised how crisp it is i recorded a video, Uploading it now.
  2. I would e-mail the other companies as well, just in case focal doesn't have what you need you'll have other e-mails to fall back on and you wont have to wait longer.
  3. Yeah, it feel nice to be this far into the front stage. HUUUGE props go out to j-roadtatts! He helped me a lot.
  4. Do you not agree? I dont really see a review to be honest with you. Ehh, its short but got my point across. The PDX 1000 worked well with my stock alt and yellow top, it never seemed to get hot even when i'd push it for hours, it is very user friendly, and SMALL! which was really nice and like i said, i recommend it to anyone
  5. Do you not agree?
  6. Installed and wired everything, did some tuning and.. WOW!!! It's amazing, its triple C no doubt! (crisp, clean, clear) I turned it on while my truck was in my garage, put the volume to about 25 then walked across the street into their garage and it sounded like they had a stereo playing inside his garage. Joey said he thought the dogs barking were real (DMX CD playing) Tomorrow i'm going to clean the install up, i was rushing to get everything done before 7. The dash is were the tweeters are located, i'm going get 2 thin pieces of wood and fit it into were the dash speakers were located, then cut holes for each pair of tweeters, black suede for the finish to match the rest of the truck. Should be pretty clean. I'm going to take videos tomorrow.
  7. I didn't want to go on and on and on about how amazing it is, PDX amps are just pucking bomb. Fiberglass would look better.
  8. How come you took the wall out so quickly?
  9. Why didn't you decide to add the 45s? -- I didn't do it either on the last box i did, even though it was in the design. I didn't feel like doing it.. laziness i suppose. Did you bolt the box to the bed? -- if not, are you going too? Where are you planning on sueding? -- inside floor would look legit. Do you like the 4th order better then the wall? -- have any pictures of that build, if so i'd appreciate it if you'd PM me some  Videos would be bomb
  10. DC seems to never let people down
  11. x2 x2 x2
  12. CA 870 CCA is 750.... ya i really am thinking about redoing the box sub up port back....and the wire omg... when i got mine i was like holy shit its like string... but ya i need a new box design Then i must say.. "Contact DL Designz for enclosure fabrication and designs at [email protected] ^ Notify them as referred by Domenico Zerilli ^" .. he'll give you a model and a cut-list
  13. Yes, there is a difference. BTL has more SPL.
  14. That wire is amazingly flexible, i was surprised too. Its like a noodle straight out of the pot. How many cca is that yellow top? Are you thinking about redesigning the box? Sub up, port back? I know a guy who can design it for ya, if interested.
  15. Nope, no hard feelings
  16. i would NEVER advise someone like this a BTL...seriously no offense......thats my thoughts You're one to laugh. Do you read your own posts? What do you suggest genius? I wouldn't suggest that the BLs and Q have the same airspace nor would i suggest for him to sell his current driver to spend around 5 bills on a single driver and then around 5+bills for an amp. What i would suggest him to do is forget all about the Q's and a Sealed box if he is wanting it to "hit harder", if he likes the current BL he has (obvs likes it enough to buy it once) buy another BL and sell the amp to put towards a new amp that would fit his needs. Saves money and give him more output so he can "hit harder" like he said he wants to do. Never once did I imply or say i am a "genius" in fact, i say i am the opposite of a genius. But thanks for the douche bag reply
  17. Company: Alpine Product Name: PDX 1000 Length of Ownership: 2-3 months Rate 1-5: ***** Pros: Size, VERY User Friendly, Just about everything. Cons: I would of liked the speaker terminals better if they were fiberglass instead of plastic.. thats about it. The PDX 1000 is an amazing amplifier.. its sexy and packs a punch! I had it pushing two 12" Alpine Type R's (3rd gen) and it was an amazing set-up and i miss it everyday! This amplifier is my favorite to date, i would recommend this amplifier to ANYone that wants a great 1000wrms at 2 and 4 ohms I really wish for Alpine to start making PDX series amps with 2-6kwrms!
  18. 15 BTL and my AQ2200
  19. 1-800-832-4101 /////Alpine technical supports direct number Give em a call, they don't fuck around.. good people!!
  20. Using "Y" adapters will make my amp blow? I didn't say that. My first comment was sarcasm. Hard to tell sarcasm in text, my fault. But that is nice that it will work.
  21. Thanks man, and this shitty kenwood deck came with the truck.. well, its not shitty, it actually works amazing. It just doesn't have enough features for my set-up. I love /////Alpine! I am going to get an Alpine deck, just been busy with all this mumbo-jumbo. I might switch out the head unit in my dodge dakota with this one. Its a JVC single dim, plays dvds, all that shit.. it should have the features i need in this set up. I haven't checked it out in quite some time. Its the modle before this: JVC KD-AVX77 (kdavx77) - Car Stereo In-Dash Receiver at Sonic Electronix - Sonic Electronix I tried trading this guy an AQ2200 for his Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. but it was a no-go.. people that only know mainstream think everything else is some off brand shit but i thought i'd give it a try.. I might make a trade post if anyone is willing to do that trade. Using "Y" adapters will make my amp blow?
  22. It was about wiring my shit up, a simple question that doesnt deserve to stay. Me second guessing myself.
  23. Pay attention , no it's won't. It only has 2 RCA pre-outs on back. They can be switched to front, rear, or sub. RCA "Y" adapters wont help me? They would, but you would loose your front to back fade. If you care at all. The ride is a ext cab pick up, all 4 6.5s are in the driver/passenger doors. So, front to back fade doesn't even matter.. right?
