I thought of that place too, but i'm going to do the velcro idea. I can't do the A pillars though cause i have no mounting depth room I will probably use all 4 tweeters, unless its harsh on my ears.. later today i'm going to PM you so i can ask some questions.

Yeah.. that place didn't work out. You guys were right, i think i'm going to put the next to the 6.5s.. it just BLOWS that its already carpeted. I'll have to get a razor blade and cut a radius out of the carpet then get one of those door handle drill kits and cut me a perfect circle. IM SO CLOSE THO! KnuKonceptz didn't give me jack for speaker wire.. 4 channel amp with 12 feet of speaker wire, ha.. i got 2 runs of it then i had to use some off my spool, so its blue from Knu then clear from Monster.

This is what i'm thinking for tweeter placement- 4 Channel Amp, Input Channel Question
Bump- BanginGMC's Build Log | The Rebuild
Update! Well, one thing i DID NOT think of is how i was going to run the speaker wire from inside the door to the inside of the cab.. my truck does not have any power windows or anything so there is no opening for wires. SO... i had to improvise. Door cut for speaker clearance, the edges are really sharp and gagged so i coated them up with duck tape I drilled 3 holes so i could run this tubing through, i coated the tubing in electrical tape Ghetto i know.. but hey, gotta do what i gotta do.- 4 Channel Amp, Input Channel Question
That opens up with Micro Word and its a bunch of gibberish..- BanginGMC's Build Log | The Rebuild
Thanks man Hell yeah! send em my way before i install everything!! I'm in the process of carpeting the other panel now, with these rings... oh my god, makes me want too I'm thinking of running both set of tweeters (4 total) I am sure undecided on where though.. I cut the second door and everything is ready to go, i just need to get past some speed bumps.. first time having a 4 channel amp, its becoming confusing.- 4 Channel Amp, Input Channel Question
I have a PDX 4.100 and (2) 6.5 Alpine Type R component sets, what do i set the input channel too? I think 1+3/2+4 but the way Alpine worded this shit on the manual has me lost. I just want it so each 6.5 gets 100wrms. "Setting this switch to 1 + 3/2 + 4 will sum the CH-1 and CH-3 input and send it to CH-3 while the CH-2 and CH-4 inputs are summed and sent to CH-4" Thanks guys.- Initial Settings, PLEASE HELP, Totally Confused !!!
My apologies here is the sub box specs: I am going with a 10in sub Ford F-150 Extended cab / Super Cab 2009 -2010 Single Subwoofer Box Features: Fits one 8, 10, or 12 inch subwoofer Subwoofers fire down MDF Construction Air Space = .80 cubic foot Mounting Depth for 10" = 5 3/8 inches I want to know how your box has the features of holding multiple driver sizes from 8-12inches- BanginGMC's Build Log | The Rebuild
Updateeee! Well, turns out the window crank/gear was blocking the left speaker on each door, so.. i had to make mdf rings for all 4 6.5s so everything would match. Panel before making any cuts. First ring and speaker mounted Way more clearance now! Second ring mounted Both rings and speakers mounted Mounted the panel to the trim panel Now!.. on too the carpeting NOTE: (one continues piece of "speaker box" carpet) This was a PAIN IN THE ASS doing this with the rings! Extremely harder then it looks!!! Sorry i don't have my pictures of during the process, just the finished product For the first time doing this, personally i think it came out legit. 95% complete door panel glamor shot Adding tweeters tomorrow Tomorrow i'll be cutting the other door, and carpeting the wood panel, and.. if i get done soon enough i'll be running wiring and jammin' out!- Big Three Question
Okay i did so, what size fuse?- Big Three Question
How do i tell what post is pos or neg? it would be whatever post has a wiring going to the pos on my batt, right? -- im under my hood now with my laptop EDIT inline fuse with 250A fuse right? -- 0awg welding cable- Big Three Question
The Big 3 Are: 1. negative battery wire to ground - just replace the negative batt. terminal and wire and ground it to the factory location 2. engine block to ground - replace the ground wire from the engine block to the chasie with a bigger wire (maybe 4 guage) 3. alternator to batt - add a fused wire from the postive post on you alternator (the one comming from the battery) to the postive terminal on your battery. DO NOT exchange wires just add a extra one. make sure it fused the same size as your factory fuse. hope thats helps Note on #2- Some cars have a batt-engine block connection stead of chassis to engine block... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have two wires coming from my stock alt, one wire goes onto my POS and one wire goes onto my NEG.. I upgrade the wire coming from my Alt to my POS, correct? -- then leave the other wire alone, right? thanks guys.- (2) 13W3v3 Box Build

Got a shitttt done today guys! took a TON of pictures!!! I left the saw dust in there so it'd bond with the glue then once it was dry i sanded the inside and vacuumed the residue out. Mike is getting carpet soon then there will be more pictures, plus a video once everything is installed.- Official 2010 SSA Texas Meet
Total Travel Estimate: 14 hours 35 minutes / 1038.07 miles Hmmmm, would it be worth it?- Window Tint Picture Thread
Damn, thats legit.. be murdered out, but at night.. it would BLOW- Which One?!?!?!
I use 10 gauge speaker wire, never anything smaller then 12 gauge when dealing with subwoofers. EDIT: I would get http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX-PK0 instead of the kit you've chosen- Black chrome?
I know you can get them power coated for around 250-350 a set.. but they cannot be plastic or anything that will melt in 500+ degrees..- mikey's OFFICIAL build log

must be your good friend ! cool Really good friend, i offered to do it for free.. but he wanted to pay me. I'm excited to see how they sound, he is only putting 400wrms to each of them i believe.. i'm going to pick out an amp for him to buy once he's ready. - 4 Channel Amp, Input Channel Question
