The subs remain a surprise till later this weekend. We have 10.239 cubes @ 30.3 Hz. These things like large ported and sealed enclosures tuned very low. I decided to do the double flare for fun I had some spare 1 inch MDF left over so I'm going to use that for the baffle with a piece of .75 for the flush mount which is going to bring the total height to 22 inches which is perfect for the seat line of my Tahoe. Ok here we go. This thing is going to be aero ports with two tunings. (4) 6 inch aeros @ 38 Hz for SPL competing and a second tune of (3) 6 inch aeros @ 32 Hz for daily driving. To achieve the daily tune Hove will be able to remove one port and close up the hole with a cap I am going to make. On to the pics!!!! Just getting started tonight... Andrew

He opted for the double baffle which IMO is a need on almost every 15. I will look up the exact cubic feet and post in a bit. Andrew

My favorite thing about Thilo's designs is that fact that there is 0 mechanical noise from the LMS series subs. From the winding of the coil to the 10-11 inch spiders that thing is a BEAST. I miss the LMS 4000 style driver that is more for HT. I still have a rare pare of them laying around. Andrew

X2, good thinking. How do they sound? Funny story you ask.... So we hook them up, the are SVC... get everything connected and turn it on. I give Brandon time to time align etc and he says here have a listen. They sound like crap. So we are like WTF everything is wired correctly, gains set correctly, HU in the correct mode. The front stage sounds amazing but subs sound like poop. We go get food and listen to a different CD on the way thinking it could be just the CD but same results... Brandon has to get home to LA so he leave after we get food. I text him mid drive home and tell him to pull the subs out when he gets home and look at the terminals to make sure we wired them correctly, and if they are wired correctly to change them so they are wired out of phase (incorrectly). The reason I said this is because on some TC subs I have played it the terminals on the sub were actually WRONG somehow lol. Sure enough he does it and puts them back in and he says the sound great now. I'm sad I don't get to hear it for another month or so till I go visit... Andrew
