It doesn't? Then y can i not just keep my stock battery to run my system? i guess i don't understand that? because im sure that if i put 2 type r alpines in my car then it would be 10x's different and there would be no call for an after market battery :/ sorry to say it but i think the fact that i have an 18" BTL dual 2 makes all the difference in the world. you see im running 3850 watts "roughly" through my 18" and that comes into play with how much power i need but that's the thing i don't know i have no idea how much power i should have because the BTL Fi could draw from that battery faster (which it will) then a normal subwoofer like the alpines. but how much is the question of which i do not know. so how much will the BTL Fi's draw is how much power i need. which comes to play with 1 or 2 batteries. and what size.

This question is dealing with the 18"BTL fi in my car hence making this a "general Fi" question im sorry but i just would like to know a battery to go along with my sub.

So an AGM battery that still doesn't answer the question of 1 or 2 and of what numbers to look for in the reserve power.

So what brands of high reserve batteries should i be looking at and how high of a reserve? They should be deep cycle correct? and am i looking at only 1 for under the hood or probably 1 in the trunk as well?

I have a 5500watt amp that is 70% efficient which makes 3850watts to use. I have a 250amp alternator and my car uses up 27amps of that alternator so i have 223 amps from my alternator. i have replaced my BIG 3 with 0 gauge, and will have my system (an 18" Fi BTL dual 2) ran with 0ga and the speaker wire in 10ga. If i worked everything out correctly using 13v i should be looking for a 31ah battery but i know that i want to go much higher to run off of my battery and not my alt. What do i look for in a battery? and if possible what kind would you all recommend? should i use more then one?

I have the Optimas and they are nice, but they do not have big AH numbers so you would need a bunch of them. Look at Deka or XS Power and get one big one. If I had it to do over again that is what I would do. Want to buy 4 Optima batteries? lol, but no seriously? how much do u want for the batteries? and where do u live cuz i dont want to travel 1/2 way across the US haha. and the 454.4 AH was way off cuz that video had wrong calculations. its much closer to 31.42 AH or somthing like that I am in SC you in MI. I have yellow and red. i live in davison michigan so id just dr ive to get them its only like a 20 minute drive and im out to SC every day anyways for school (skillcenter) so yeah but im not sure between reds and yellows which do u have like the model #'s and what would prices be

Ok so i worked everything out i have the big 3 done and installed in my car and i looked up alternators and ordered a 250amp alt from 4xspower.com now for the battery i still need 454.4 AH ... im lost now and have no clue what i need for a battery because some are rated in AH but others are not what should i be looking for in battery's to buy? i have looked at optima yellow and blue but neither are in AH.. is AH similar to reserve power? help? haha

k so new battery, or 3... a new alt high output, and please explain the big 3 I'm not much of a sub wiz i just know what sounds good and have my buddy help me. just being honest.

I am looking to but 1 18" BTL Fi subwoofer. I can build the box (i hope) and can do a proper job installing it. I have a sufficient enough amp sending 3500 watts continuous power its way. I have 0ga power wire ran 10ga speaker wire. But i have the stock alternator and battery. Is this a problem? would a nice cap handle the difference? Or what should i get to solve the problem?
