  1. X2 on clearing into your account. When I had very little feedback I would ask the seller to do that before shipping, just to get it off his mind that I might be a scammer from the land of Dracula. Even if you do end up shipping the product, keep ALL documents, tracking numbers, emails, everything pertaining to the transaction.
  2. Cue the facepalms
  3. I priced some lenses today, nearly fell on my back. $250 for a pair of lenses like I have now. Looks like simplest clear lenses + fitover sunglasses it is. Or keep old lenses, buy fitovers and get surgery done next year. The lady there insisted on buying some clear lenses and a pair of prescription sunglasses. Almost all my income in a month for eye-wear ? No way in hell...
  4. The A-pillars were wrapped by somebody who has a bit of experience on that side of things. I never ventured further than vinyl.
  5. Wiring up the car-puter: Touchscreen installed for testing: Final install of the screen: A-pillars wrapped in fake suede: An aluminum or stainless steel ring is next, to conceal the mounting lip Wiring under the amp panel, along with the narrow spare: Everything up and running Sadly the time was very short and I could only get 15 minutes of listening of the system. SLS 8's on 200w each are beasts Next up is adding some sort of fan for cooling the amps and the car-puter and when the recone gets here, I will post up box build pictures. Thanks for the kind comments guys ! This install was a ton of work, even for 2 people
  6. EGT gauge arrived today and it's a very close match to the VDO gauges I already had Now to finish up the BMW and get started on installing stuff on my car
  7. $80 / tow, almost half of what it is now ? I've seen similar things happen about 1-2 years ago with the digging business. People would hire backhoes for almost nothing, just to pay the fuel and a very very small extra. It broke the market in some areas and with those rates, if the machine needed repairs you were effed...
  8. I can't find shit, I've been looking for a spring with a higher rate but can't find any. What Should/Would I do? There are tons. This is for the Stang? HE's going to have to go with custom springs or making something work. There are thousands of high rate springs for the Mustangs, but all are in the interest of racing or looiks and will lower the car and limit travel. I just slapped oval track racing springs in the galaxy on adjustable perches. Had to grab the perches from a Wissota modified store, but they were cheap and easy. Got the ride height nailed and had them welded up. Rode stiff, lol Every time I read Galaxy, I think about this thing: Umm, no. Not mine, but close I figured it out a while ago, just thought it was funny to always see that image first

  10. I literally lol'd It's so sadly true. I spend 8 hours on the phone and 2 trying to change my wifes oil. Jiffy lube way over TQed it and I nearly stripped the bolt. I'm going to kill them tomorrow AM. When I get busy... I eat like shit, unless I boxed meals for the next day. Last night I had an italian sammich. Sean I made my buddy hang his head out the window of the car it was so rank. I have to give those up. Makes me sad. Protein shakes never mess with my guts. I'm lucky. I need your miso soup recipie and more importantly to know where you buy the products. I would have it every day for breakfast with some firm tofu for sure. Maybe some noodles too now that I am back in the gym. X2 on the miso soup Edit: I was slow... no source for ingredients on this side of the Earth :|
  11. Off to pour in some more work on the botched bimmer. I swear, the devil is always in the details. Look at the car from a distance, it looks good. Get close and you suddenly see how bad it actually is Apart from the air-ride and the paint job nothing seems to be done right.
  12. That's not a good sign... Mittsubishis are absolute shit. I hate seeing one of those pigs pull up in front of the shop. You know you are dealing with antiquated technology, terrible mechanical engineering, and nonsensical diagnostic strategy. It is like they design the cars to last for 40K miles then completely fall apart. DSM...see crank walk, walk crank walk
  13. If you fast to cleanse and start fresh it's understandable, if not it's definitely damaging. How is it damaging? Of course fasting is relative to how long you fast for, but lets say 16 hours is "fasting." How is it damaging? Don't tell me some tangent either. Makes me feel like absolute shit, saps energy, kills my concentration, and generally is a body fuck. Lasts for days as well. If I miss breakfast I want to snap somebody's head off. Totally kills my entire day.
  14. Whenever you are ready, let me know what you need Pair of 12's, daily setup, 8" port works perfect.
  15. You will get accustomed with the accent for sure. I remember the first lectures I went to were tough, first time being taught in English and I had a hard time understanding and keeping up.
  16. Just tell them you don't know better. I never bother too much to explain. The proof is in the pudding, I was leading all the time when hiking And the second crap I get is "don't bother with glucose and protein, go to the sauna after the workout, the muscle relaxes and you won't get muscle soreness"
  17. People ask me why I torture myself with supplements and trying to eat "so much" protein. And I also get told I would be better off swimming lightly and running once a week.
  18. The lyrics are so deep they made me cry.
  19. The A-pillars and tweeter pods were a 1-day job, we didn't have any time to listen when aiming so everything is on-axis One big issue with the midrange pods was the vent behind the A-pillar. Originally I would have liked to use the space behind the A-pillar and keep the intrusion to a minimum but it was not possible. Milkshake on: A-pillars sanded / primered and tweeter pods painted flat black, with a bit of texture to mimic the oem texture of the plastic panel: The A-pillars were wrapped in fake suede later. Next up some pictures of the finished install, sans subwoofer. Turns out whatever I do on this level, the subwoofer is a low priority
  20. Wiring Since the car-puter and the sound card are installed in the trunk, there was no need to run RCA's to the front. But we still had to run speaker wires, a couple USB's, a VGA cable, a Cat5e cable and a few other cables for possible switches. Turns out there were a lot of wires.
  21. Judging by the shape of the car, you should also have good results with sub up / port up. Currently, I say the sub 35Hz poor performance is caused by the high tuning. Tune lower and it will gain down low. Do you want it loud on music and also on a meter ? Have you considered multiple subs sealed ? I've personally seen 140dB out of a sealed JL 13w6v2 on 1000w. Cone area is your friend if you go sealed.
  22. In my opinion they are very nice amplifiers. When my friend snagged the two 4 channels I almost bought one too but I don't have room for such a big amp
  23. Thanks for the comments Onto the amp install. The idea here was to get rid of the wide spare tire, use a narrow spare and install the amps under the floor in the trunk. 1/2" plywood to hold the amps: Clearance to the wheel well cover: Holes for wires: Carpeted: All the cables except power are ran through techflex where visible. Between 2 people we couldn't find a better solution. Everything in place: Wiring and front stage pics tomorrow
  24. Thanks Ryan, now I'm listening to Positive K
  25. YEAH BUDDY ?
