  1. Care to post some pics ? Maybe ideas will flow better. In any case, you might lose with sun visors down and ac vents closed, so testing is mandatory. Same install, different port orientation and the seat position had to be changed completely to help. Figure out if there is a test and tune day at some shop close to you or even rent a meter and test.
  2. Note to self: buy sports shoes for basketball. The shoes I used today weren't very tight and I ended up with some beautiful blisters on my feet. I guess walking up to the office is out...good thing there is an elevator.
  3. Generally pissed, I narrowed it to lack of sleep. Basketball game today pretty much cleared my head. 90 minutes of running around and jumping was the best workout I ever did.

You could gain that 0.7 from silly things like seat position, vent visor position, people bracing the outside, making sure no wires are dangling in the box etc. Try rounding the port mouth, both inside and out, use 4" pvc pipe for that. How long is the port ? You could keep the length, make the port area as big as needed to tune over 50Hz and start blocking the port until you match the peak frequency. Just you add a layer of MDF to the inner port wall, as long as the port wall and test each time. Then you can make a port blocker to get your tuning back to daily. Most of these changes can be tested in less than a day on a meter, as long as you have everything ready.

  9. At this point I'm thinking about not answering anyone who wants to ask me audio-related questions during the weekend. I've been talking back and forth with a fella, helping him pick a new sub, for about a month. He put a deposit for a box, I told him I'll start working on it Saturday and he called me twice today to ask me about the progress. What the eff ? It's weekend broski and building boxes is not my full-time job.
  10. We need an SSA convention. It will nothing but intense sessions of weight lifting, craft beers, BGE feasting, german car driving, and maybe a little audio. Sounds like heaven. We can have 4 or 5 speakers, and everyone breaks up into small 10 person groups and goes through an hour rotation per speaker. Where do we sign up? We could all go to SBN next year but stay a week. In all reality, if you guys plan this out well one year in advance, I have a very big chance of visiting Saying one year because of plane ticket expenses...

  19. Finally scrounged up the money for an EGT gauge. I am mostly done with big purchases, apart from a better turbo but that comes in next year. Everything else I want to do is fabrication and buying small things.
  20. I only started doing weighted dips last week, so I will put some use into the belt at the gym, to hang the weight. But apart from that I don't want it on.

First I managed one set of 5 reps then dropped 10lbs for each set and last time I managed 2 x 5 then dropped the weight. 2 minutes to catch my breath after each set Being a fancy-pants gym, there aren't a lot of people working with big weights so I always get weird looks when deadlifting without a belt
