Looks like no more Saudi Arabia for me, at least until after Ramadam.

That's how my BTL feels after 2 years of burping I need to give it some free-air time to loosen up.

Intercooling ducting ideas
As I expected Anyway, holes + some simple sheetmetal should be a quick mod.

I wonder if F-bodies have the radiators mounted vertically or slanted... The black duct I posted is similar to what you mention, it picks up air from in front of the radiator and directs it to the intercooler. It's a pretty short distance from the bumper surface to the cooler to be able to get very creative with ducting.

Oh, definitely welding in mesh, I don't want something poking through my oil cooler

I love welding Late edit: I use a big MIG if it makes any difference...

2 99$ ones should make for an 8 channel, just split the source output and presto !

Welcome to the IHoP
I want to try and fix the BS on my left side midrange and try to get some better focus through L/R cut and boost. Right now it's pretty stupid, I can only match left / right levels through balance, which applies to both midrange and midbass, so it's a huge compromise. Bridging the 4 channel and using it for the midbass will allow me to level match them left / right and the miniDSP = tons of extra tuning for the midrange.

I've got an oil cooler behind my bumper and with this heat I noticed that if I run it hard the temperatures won't drop at highway speeds, which means I need more airflow through it. And since it's right next to the intercooler, I bet that also heats up like hell. Haven't measured IAT's so far since I don't have a sensor. Not looking for power gains, just for cooling gains in preparation for adding more power This is the current setup: And stock: About 1/3 of the intercooler is blocked off by the oil cooler. The intercooler is exactly as big as the square opening (and folded). The plastic is actually some sort of duct, used to seal off the intercooler from the crossmember and to scoop some air from the left side. Air exiting the oil cooler goes through that small scoop. One idea is to increase the size of the holes, similar to this: The other is to cut 2 square holes in the bumper (on each side of the license plate), cut bigger holes in the crossmember and build some sort of duct from the holes in the bumper to the intercooler and to the oil cooler. Any reason why this wouldn't work at highway speeds from some sort of aerodynamic reason ? The angle from the crossmember opening to the bumper hole is sharp and that is the only problem I see. Turbo RX7's have a scoop / duct for the intercooler, the actual opening of the scoop is quite small compared to the surface of the intercooler but the thing works well !

They are more full of idiots than car audio forums. Be wary what you "learn" Learn? Heh, I just enjoy watching how creative people can be with scrap metal. It's interesting what they come up with. Last time I saw somebody "play" with scrap metal was when a group of gypsies asked me to load a dumpster with 3 chunks of smelting plant residue, to sell it afterwards. Well over one ton each, quite some cash, that's also creative Even weirder is that they dug the chunks out of the ground.

As far as I can tell there are 6+6 bands per channel, correct ? With a graphic I'd have about 20 bands in the mid passband, which is where it will be used. But they will be 1/3 octave apart, while with the parametric I can address things better frequency-wise...

Sweet ! As soon as I get an extra amp I'm buying a miniDSP Parametric vs Graphic eq ? Since L/R eq is what I need it the most for.

A well thought out 15" Mayhem build...

Welcome to the IHoP
As I've said before, my biological reasoning on anything I eat has nothing to do with studying but watching people. Europeans are all thin and healthy compared to us and eat WAY more grains than we do. They aren't all thin, plenty of fat people in the UK and in Germany for instance But in the UK bio and low-fat products were the in-thing and I saw lots of people shopping from the small markets with fresh produce Can't say their food is bad, I actually lost 5 lbs and always ate well when I was there.

Took this week off from work to do an install for a friend, as a favor return. 2 days to go and the whole car is wired, tweeters and midbasses are installed. The current to-do list: Mount the amplifiers and connect them, connect the car-puter install 3" mids in the A-pillars install 7" touchscreen in the dash reinstall interior panels. Sadly no time for testing, tuning and painting or wrapping the fiberglassed parts. Only 2 pics uploaded for now:

Fuck VW and their shitty clamps and ways of bolting things on the car. The handles on the roof are bolted in a special clamp, with a mobile nut and there is a plastic spacer sandwiched between them. Major pain in the behind, spent a full day only on removing and reinstalling the headliner.
