Happy Birthday ! With the appropriate excuse for the delay....- Welcome to the IHoP
That was a bitter-sweet moment. Unless I count in the possibility of a master's, which is going to happen only if I have a project ready. Like the SPL meter or a VNT controller.- Welcome to the IHoP
Had to try and remove a huge stomp from a friend's yard. That thing had about 10 roots to the sides and I have no idea if it extends down. We ended up chopping it piece by piece and still looking at a good 6 hrs of work to get it all out. Bummer I can't get close with the backhoe and put some hydraulic muscle to work- Welcome to the IHoP
I've found that a lot of rattles can be fixed with closed cell foam in the exact spots it rattles. I'm anal about rattles and in a 15 year old car they were plenty.- Welcome to the IHoP
Amplifier pop prevention is simple, a power on delay relay is very simple to build I will consider the pricing when it will be time. miniDSP 2-way plugin has 12 bands of L/R PEQ, Zapco has 10. If I can get the miniDSP + an old Zapco AG350 for about the same as a DC Ref 350.2, then I will get the miniDSP. Indeed, simple, but theirs includes a power conditioner/noise removal circuit as well and is about $10. I'd spend more than $10 in time choosing components to slap one together myself and delay my project a few weeks.I I'll let you know if it is all what it is cracked up to be. Hope so as it will let me run headunitless which in the boat (actually anything mobile) is perfect. If I need a line driver, Exile has one that is sort of neat. Sub volume, boat volume and fader between in boat and tower. (or F/B if you will). I imagine that there is a car audio equivalent though, but considering it's been more than 10 years since I've needed a line driver I wouldn't know. Hopefully I don't, If not, I am just going to use some IP67 pots on the rca's and run the droid at full non-clip throttle to the miniDSP. I'm curious what you think. Oh yeah, if you want to play with the Zapco software, I've got the latest version.- Welcome to the IHoP
Why dont they lije Zapco? They aren't designed/made in Germany, duh. Their German. Probably. Last evening I was sniping out broken amps for a friend. A decent 3kw Hifonics went for ~$200 and a DD M3, which is still a Korean amp, slightly better than the Hifonics, went for nearly double. Some brand names command a price in Germany and thankfully Zapco isn't one- Welcome to the IHoP
Germans usually shy away from Zapco, so if one pops on ebay Germany, it's going to be cheap.- Welcome to the IHoP

Valid point... I would really like to try the cut and boost method to improve focus, that's why L/R EQ would be useful. My Alpine only has 5-band parametric. And I would also like independent L/R gain, since I currently use balance to center my stage and it's far from ideal. I might play with a miniDSP soon and if it's better than the Zapco onboard DSP, I'll go with that. The processing I currently have is plenty for midbass and sub but L/R EQ and gain would be awesome for the full-ranges.- Happy Birthday Penguin4x4
Happy Birthday ! Keep it chill and don't start a riot in LA again- Welcome to the IHoP
I have just played with Zapco's DSP software, it's kickass ! If I would get the DC 350.2 for the full-ranges, I would have 10 band L/R parametric eq, and independent L/R gain. Should be just what I'm missing. And the eq points are spaced 100 Hz apart up to 1k and 1 kHz apart onwards.- Welcome to the IHoP
They repeat the same 4-5 songs a few times a day for a few weeks. It feels like groundhog day- Welcome to the IHoP
I need to upload some pics of the steam trains in the train museum I went to- Welcome to the IHoP
Feels good to be back home. Went from a slightly floody York to 75*, sunny at home- Welcome to the IHoP

Currently eating a Yorkshire Custard tart, this thing was worth every pence- Welcome to the IHoP
Hooray for boats !- Welcome to the IHoP
I suspect the whole deal is with buying from authorized / non-authorized dealers. I have seem knock-offs but not branded as Zapco.- Welcome to the IHoP
What about 2 750.2's ? I don't really want to run four amps.... Perhaps I should have said, I need: Mids: 500w x2 (4ohms) or 250 x4 at or 1000w 1 at 2ohm Tweeters: 50w x1 at 4 Coaxes: >100w x2 at 2 Sub: >500w at whatever ROFL. Two 1000.4's would have been perfect. You should have bought those, it's not something to pass up I'd actually rather have the non-DC versions...otherwise I would have. I'm actually looking for an old AG350 now, since I suspect 75w @ 4 ohms will not be enough for the Extremis- Happy Birthday Porkchop
Happy Birthday ! ! !- Welcome to the IHoP
