Welcome to the IHoP
Bought a new bike today Bianchi (italian brand) mountain bike, 20 inch frame, it needed a new front tire. Bike + new tire + new tube was $60. I feel slightly guilty for "betraying" my old bike, which I have had for around 10 years...

Big brake upgrade thoughts
From the get go they simply don't have enough bite. I stomp on the brakes and it does not have enough bite. I can confirm that the current pads appear to be shite. The middle section of the inside of both disks appears to have not been used.

You have a 2005 Grand Cherokee, I don't have too much info on upgrade ideas for that It should already have bigger / better brakes compared to my XJ. Generally what Tirefryr said is the first thing to try, better pads.

I love them in the garage but hate them at work. So far so good, I turned them off before the nozzle came to work and 1 hr in, lights are still off.

Big brake upgrade thoughts
EBC Yellowstuff was my first idea, however, seeing that I will more than likely need new rotors I thought about going up in size. Bigger rotors are 7.5 lbs extra per wheel. Probably an extra 2-3.5 lbs for bigger calipers and it adds up to 10 lbs extra unsprung weight per wheel. Seems like EBC Yellow is only $25 more than the Greens in the UK. I'll be going there in April and I can get them in my luggage, so no shipping cost. But it's still up for discussion if the slightly smaller surface 2-piston caliper + bigger rotor = better performance than the stock single piston and rotor. Keep in mind again that I'm not buying a kit, I'm making a kit, so cost will be smaller for sure, just a lot of extra work.

You don't happen to have pictures of the calipers ? There is an obvious difference between the Sport-trac and the Explorer calipers (which were used first by Vanco and same piston bore as the smaller Sport-trac caliper). Big improvement you say

Centric is what I have in mind, unless I can source Brembo / ATE / Ferodo cheaper locally.

Big brake upgrade thoughts
It's about time to replace my front pads on the Jeep and looks like I will need to replace my disks also. There's a company called Vanco which makes a big brake kit. 12" rotor vs 11" rotor stock and Explorer Sport-Trac calipers. I've looked around and it seems like I can use the Sport-trac rotor. Sport-trac calipers come in 2 different sizes, one has 2 48mm pistons, the other has 2 46mm pistons. Stock Jeep caliper has 1 66mm piston. Comparing the surface, 2 48mm pistons have more surface while the 2 46mm have a smaller surface. I can source the smaller Explorer caliper locally for a good price and then it would cost me disks + pads. Is the smaller caliper piston surface (compared to stock) a big hindrance if I go with the bigger diameter disks ? Oh yeah, I will do my own machining and even my own 2-piece rotors (Grade 10 hardware is ready) if needed so custom stuff is not a problem

Yep, fluorescent. Talked to the boss today and he asked us to be patient until we move with the design team (April), with which I have talked to and also like natural light instead of the damn artificial light.

In the office (200 people open space) the lights are running on constantly, very tiring to the eyes and not just mine. So yesterday I get up, turn the lights off, some fucktard turns them back on in 15 seconds. I go back and he raises his voice at me. Seems like the idiot is working all day on the PC and apparently can't see the screen without the lights on. We've got plenty of natural light and he is next to a walk-way which is lighted. After a quick argument I got the lights off. Today I proceed to turn them on an hour before heading home. In 10 seconds the same fucktard raises his head but this time he didn't say anything. Amusingly, 20 people agreed that it's way better with natural light.

Got the power disconnected today. No warning, no nothing. Apparently we didn't pay our bill from February. Funny part is the people at the electrical company said they sent the bill and warnings. FUCK THIS, $100 for reconnection, like that $100 was something I didn't know what to do with... And the fucking idiots who disconnected it couldn't wait for dad to go and pay. Chop the wires, off we went. Stupid fucking country.

To check phasing you need a 9v battery. Touch the woofer leads to the battery (+ to + and - to -) and if both cones move in the same direction they are both in phase. If they are out of phase one will move out and the other in. You can also reverse the polarity of the wires going from the amp to the box, basically reversing the polarity of the sub, to see how it sounds- Welcome to the IHoP

Final result of the tweeter pods, customer came over today to have the tweeters painted to match the rest: Paint can says flat black, it's slightly glossy At one point I had some nice flat black, I tested it against gloss black on the Honda install. Should have used that brand. Oh well, as long as the customer is happy after I explained why it's slightly glossy, I'm happy.- Welcome to the IHoP
