Welcome to the IHoP
No. And changing comp sets isn't the best way to get their either. I asked if it was a bad idea, you said no, but I'm assuming you mean no in general to the whole thing. So if I wanted more midbass, instead of mounting fifty speakers on my door panels, what would you suggest. If I crossover the subwoofers higher then it starts to sound sloppy, not as "tight". Simply put, my goal is more midbass. I have the door, dash, and kick panels to work with. Or maybe I should just look for the speaker with the highest RMS rating and give it as much power as I can before it blows. Instead of pointing the kick panel speakers from opposite sides (ex, speaker on driver side point to passenger, passenger speaker pointed to driver.) if I pointed both speakers to the driver? I haven't read a whole lot on alignments... I see JL has a 6.5" subwoofer, JL Audio 6W3V3-4.......................................... I installed one of those once, it's a midbass at best, keep in mind it's built to work as a sub. You are better off with an SLS 6.5. My car is aligned selfishly. Both drivers aimed so that they stage the best. Seeing people point speakers at the rear view mirror makes me chuckle You listen with your ears, not with your eyes. I'll look into the peerless, I also forgot that the exodus anarchy 6.5's are being blown out. $65usd a pop. And found a bunch more peerless, scan-speak, and seas prestige 6.5s on madisound... the fun begins, I mine as well just flip a coin. Crapnozzles, I want a better midbass and payday is almost a month away

Stetsom 14k2 E Sketchup Model DETAILED
I know the programs do get outdated. After a while you have to pay to get them updated (as much as you bought it for), which is stupid, but I guess if youre a major corperation then money doesnt really matter. EH, so and so... AFAIK NASA still uses a program built in Fortran, which is basically ancient in computer time... And take for instance Microsoft Office 2007 vs 2003, 2007 is total crap imp. Or Visual Studio 2010 versus 2008 and 2007. 2010 is horrible from all the points of view. I still use an older version of Sketch-up. It's light, it's simple, it doesn't want to connect to the internet every time I press something. Other than that, you did a good job on the design and seems like you have quite some time on your hands.

Sean will like that idea Actually I'd rather see a ridiculously lightweight something with shitloads of power. A high revving lightweight 6/8 is more than fine with tha BOOST. What makes that car so desirable to you? You don't hear much about them, are they a good platform to build upon or something? I can get one from the year I was born, I prefer the look of them to any exotic from the non-super modern era, the drivetrain is vanilla Ford and easily and cheaply tweaked, they outhandle a Lotus Espirit stock for stock and there are ton of improvements that are easy to make, the dashboard is ultra easily shaped to make a more modern custom one, I "can" fit in one (with modifications - ie, dropping the floor a few inches), huge rubber fits in stock format, the ZF trans is pretty bulletproof, and they are just flat out sexy IMO. They do look really good. It's a perfect project car is what I'm taking away from this. Thanks for breaking it down, I was mostly curious why that as opposed to what else is out there. I am open to other things, what could they be? Oh and cheap is on the list to I never knew they handle so well

MK, the cummins 6 is not quite something I'd put in a luxury cruiser. Way too noisy...

I usually crimp them with a punch and a hammer. Punch them in the middle and you don't have problems. Hydraulic crimper is awesome...worth it if you clamp lots of wires. Blow-torch destroyed some insulation when I tried it once.

Wasted my afternoon today working with the backhoe. The guy I worked for kept telling me exactly what to do and the result was horrible. It's just like telling a cab driver to take you somewhere and then telling him how to drive the car.

I am on my phone at the moment. Is there a supermod on? I'll ask him a few questions.

I felt electricity a few times when helping dad weld some stuff. I was holding 2 tubes together, one was grounded, the other was not and when the arc formed I felt electricity going from one of my hands, through my chest and out the other hand. Kind of fun I made a taser out of a disposable camera.. that sucked. Touch that capacitor after it's charged and you get a good sting. I touched it by accident then touched it again to see if it's still charged. Got my finger numb twice
