  1. U need to take a ride in a tri golf or better yet a blue tech Benz. And the giddy up in those is neutered bad. Chip them to unlock unlock their balls and the power is wild. We don't use diesel because of politics, nothing else. Some people in Australia tested a new 3.0 v6 diesel Grand Cherokee (with a mild tune) against a 5.7 hemi (I think) and in a 1/4 mile race the diesel was faster.
  2. I love the noise. On both the Jeep (straight exhaust now) and the 4bt powered backhoe.
  3. Priceless !!!!
  4. I can't wait to get a Hurst short shift for the Heep... Manual transmissions are more common in Europe, no? Seems like more of the average cars tested on Top Gear are available in manual transmissions whereas here most aren't if they are that model is fairly rare. Very common.. For instance the XJ with diesel was only available with a manual gearbox.
  5. But they do. Society is full of idiots. This reminds me of our president and prime-minister. They both said at least 6-7 times in the last 3 years that we are out of the recession, only to say otherwise after a few weeks.
  6. I can't wait to get a Hurst short shift for the Heep...

  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!
  12. Does it have any sort of single player mode ?
  13. Adrian_D replied to alain's topic in Fi Technical
Agreed. However, we're talking about 4 12's designed for accuracy, in sealed boxes versus 2 ported BTL's. IMO it's obvious who wins if loudness is the only concern.
  14. 'Twas fun 'butchering' a friend in Counter Strike, especially considering he played competitively.
  15. Halo is the bomb! At least in single player...I was never too much into playing LAN games.
  16. Yes, by idiots. I am an idiot . I did that on my kick panels for my first truck. however, my fabric was a super thick material that had a lot of random fibers. It took a hell of a lot of sanding but it was strong afterwards. I didn't see yours either. Seen plenty fails that way tho For me it's either a bajilion layers or nothing. It would be fun to take some pics of the left-overs after modding my kicks. 1/2" fiberglass at places for a pair of 3" fullranges
  17. Ah, high school computer shenanigans. Playing first person shooters across the LAN in computer lab = good times. Used to do that in high-school. And in the senior year we would skip some classes, get the network admin, find a free computer lab and play shooters. It was fun when the principal found us.
  18. Have fun !
  19. I love Rage Gold. I have used it for quite some time. You can also skip a final sand and use a good filler primer like Slick Sand from ever coat. Another trick is to take equal parts filler and resin, mix thoroughly, add your MEKP, then you can brush on the filler and it will self level. You can also pour it on as well, but this may cause air bubbles. Brush-on is the best !!! It cuts a lot of time and effort.
  20. Good point. Time to celebrate tomorrow night
  21. Adrian, did you start your new job celibrations already? Only starting on september 6th...which is conveniently my birthday
  22. Why no mat ? It's simple to add and it's what provides the strength.
  23. 2 boxes to build, I was getting rusty
  24. 'grats !
  25. When I was stationed in England, I had a 87 Ford Escort GT ... Awesome Sporty ride ... Not so easy getting use to the sterring wheel on the right side ... kinda quick for a 4 banger ... Funny, since I was just reading about the Chrysler 2.2 turbo... http://www.allpar.com/mopar/22t.html Yes, it's Chrysler but still, very good performance for that age. But it wasn't actually a Chrysler engine. It was a Mitsubishi. Ford's 4 cylinder Duratec engines are Mazdas, the GM Duramax Diesel is an Isuzu, etc. . . Didn't they use the complete 4g63 from Mitsubishi (2.0) and develop the 2.2 turbo from their own block ? And as far as I could read in the article they worked with Lotus on the third version of the 2.2 turbo. I used to work for a guy who built these engines in the factory. He had a ton of them at the shop I worked at and really knows them well. HE stated, Mitsu prototyped, Chrysler engineers approved, then Chrysler built the engine. It's actually pretty common place for manufacturers to do these types of things. Have you ever noticed that when the Toyota Tundra finally got as big as the Big 3 American trucks Ford finally broke into the field with hybrid technology? The Tundra's chassis is a reworking of the F-150s, and the Ford Hybrid system is a modified Toyota first gen system. Didn't notice the Ford hybrid idea but I did guess that the Tundra had some F-150-like features. Interesting concept...both companies had benefits.
