Welcome to the IHoP
When I was stationed in England, I had a 87 Ford Escort GT ... Awesome Sporty ride ... Not so easy getting use to the sterring wheel on the right side ... kinda quick for a 4 banger ... Funny, since I was just reading about the Chrysler 2.2 turbo... http://www.allpar.com/mopar/22t.html Yes, it's Chrysler but still, very good performance for that age. But it wasn't actually a Chrysler engine. It was a Mitsubishi. Ford's 4 cylinder Duratec engines are Mazdas, the GM Duramax Diesel is an Isuzu, etc. . . Didn't they use the complete 4g63 from Mitsubishi (2.0) and develop the 2.2 turbo from their own block ? And as far as I could read in the article they worked with Lotus on the third version of the 2.2 turbo.

And you can sign an offer and unsign it in the same week anyways. Either way it gives you negotiation power with NI. I'd also expect that Emerson is a better place to work as NI over here seems to turn people over quickly, ie hire out of school but not keep them. Both are good options for opening other doors though They (NI) might be a bit different here, since I know a few people who have been working there for 3+ years. And at least 4 people I went to college with work there. Either way, I'm stoked to be in the position to chose between those companies. And of course I mostly interact with the sales side, not development. That probably is different meaning they just don't want to pay for a tenured salesperson. And yes, Europe is very different. Typically jobs here revolve. Either way shortly after you start you should let them know you are willing to travel long term and I would say anywhere as the experience is good and would help you get here if that is at all a goal. Had the travel talk at the interview, they even asked me if I have any problems with getting a US visa. Travel is the main advantage over NI.

Welcome to the IHoP
Still waiting for an answer from NI but the difference is I can walk to Emerson while NI is 6 miles away. That equates into $100 for gas per month. Unless NI offers $200 more than Emerson, case closed.

Adi, I've asked Jake about it, waiting for his response. But it looks like it will be in two boxes, the thing I am worried about is assembly tho Assembly is way too easy. Take your time, use good epoxy or CA glue and it's a breeze. I'll look for a recone tutorial.

We were never allowed with any type or calculator. Nobody complained and although it was hard then, it helps with mental calculations now.

Welcome to the IHoP
If you don't use them often (as in homework for classes) it's hard to memorize them. I can't remember 90% of the stuff I used in high-school.

Unless you can have it shipped by parts (motor in one package, basket + soft parts in the other) I see no option. And please use my first name, not my last name.

Welcome to the IHoP
So I went to a second interview at both Emerson and NI. Everything went smooth, I even fixed my mistakes at the initial test at Emerson. In a few days I should be getting an answer.

where is the NI ob? In town, 20 min drive. They have an R&D center and focus mainly on software.
