  1. Sweet, the French lost. I dislike France.
  2. Louder exhaust = I feel anti-social.
  3. Anything that is like a sheet and has a lot of mass. Sheetrock Way too light, you needs lots and lots of mass. Lead sheets, high-density vinyl...
  4. Ditched the muffler in the Jeep until I can get a straight through muffler and build a 2.5" turbo-back. It's not quiet but certainly quieter than fart pipes on rice.
  5. Without some sort of blocking, I don't know if you can keep the bass in
  6. Indeed. Spent all day outside. Did a good 10 mile run with the bike. It feels sooooo good to ride again.
  7. Pulling the battery doesn't mean that all the codes will clear. What is the truck? Both were replaced. 2006 F-250 Turbo Diesel King Ranch Edition. I didn't have a check engine light on until about 450 miles into it, and it was eating gas like crazy. Already been to and around Tucson once before this trip. First time on it didn't budge off the Full line until I got off the highway. Same conditions of driving again, as I exited the high way it was at 3/4 tank. Its got a 29 gallon tank and the Check Engine light came on. I just found it odd that Auto Zone found 9 codes and the stealership found 2. Just doesn;t make any damn sense. The claimed the light went out when they cleared the codes, they test drove it (couldn't say how far, or up to what speeds) and it didn't come back on. Just doesn't sit well with me on a truck thats costing me a bit of cash, and that's just over 146K on a diesel. J Eating fuel like crazy you say... Any excess smoke ? I'm thinking bad injector...
  8. If the pop, they move too much and are bottoming out the coil. You need to drop down the power or use a smaller box. SSF stands for sub sonic filter.
  9. Did you cut the screw holes in the surround ? Pics would help to diagnose this.
  10. Ok, how about some measurable differences ? So some of us who use 'lesser' wire can see the benefit and it's clear that there are no audible differences. I want to see exactly how the extra money helps me. Statements like 'it's worth it' need to be backed up. And not by hearsay. I've had people into SQ tell me that my welding wire sounds worse than dedicated wire, without being able to back it up. Not even by talking, let alone some testing.
  11. July 3rd and the temps barely break 70's ? WTF is this ? I want 80+
  12. How is it worth it ? Audible difference ?
  13. I have 2 extra garage spaces if you want to get rid of the 954...
  14. Almost did a PIT maneuver on a Civic today. The Civic driver tried to squeeze between me and another car (passing me on the right side). I clipped his rear bumper with my tire and he almost spun onto oncoming traffic. Not sure what damage I did to his car, he didn't want to sit around and talk after he saw my car was unscratched.
  15. Oh dear...
  16. Glow plugs... I really need to fix them . Plus the diesel gels easily in the cold. I use biofuel. There we go You can get fuel heaters on the cheap, should help. But with even a bad plug it's not cool to do cold starts.
  17. Congrats !
  18. I have heard good things. I'm most likely to buy used and I haven't seen too many on the market but knowing they last helps. My big tractor is a Kubota. It kicks @ss, but being a diesel it plays hell to start in freezing weather. My rider for the main house lot is an old Wheel Horse circa 1982 when Wheelhorse was it's own entity. 52 inch deck, 18 HP V-twin Briggs, hydrostatic trans (with hydraulic lift). It ain't pretty but it is built like a brick shithouse, and aside from replacing starter gears (they shatter in the freezing cold) deck wheels, belts, blades, normal maintenance stuff I have never had an issue. I have a 4 foot plow blade for it and tire chains and it will clear the driveway in a heartbeat. It was my Grandfather's and he bought it brand new. He gave it to me when I bought my first house many years ago. Toro bought them in the 90s though, so I am not sure they are of the same quality. As was mentioned, steer clear of the Home Depot/Lowes mower lines. Most are farmed out POS MTDs. Even the John Deere's are MTD crap with a green paint job. Look at real mower dealers if you want a mower that will give you a decade or more of good service. Doesn't the Kubota have some cold start aids ? My Cummins has a grid heater, can't complain about cold weather starting. And the Jeep has glow-plugs, it started no problem in -20*C.
  19. Eff this, I'm not answering my phone for a week.
  20. Why do my relatives think it's unusual that I want a few days off after working almost non-stop on my diploma project for 3 weeks ? "Adrian, come fix my computer, come install my new software, help me with my math homework" What am I, a charity house ?
  21. Now that I'm done with everything, it's time to get some beer in the system. Woohoo!
  22. All done with school. Had some trouble with mr Salami since he didn't understand a thing out of the whole project but all is well.
  23. Happy birthday !
  24. I hate those baskets, sucks trying to flush mount. However, I am sure someone on here has a trick that will make me go Never bothered with mine. The grills I have make matters worse, not identical to the basket.
  25. Fostex came up with a replacement for the FF85K. I fear an impulse buy... https://www.madisound.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=9067
