Friend's Jeep work done, new camera picked up and now it's time to buy some carpet and get BUSY with box builds.

Go under the car, have somebody cover the exhaust a couple seconds and listen. That's how I helped somebody find an exhaust leak. A bit difficult if it's at the headers...

Getting ready for hell-week. Monday-Tuesday going to work on a friend's Jeep and then it's a marathon to get the Honda ready by Saturday morning. And I need to sneak in a small sealed box build. Going to a competition next weekend, all I need is 2 hours to get the new port installed and tuned.

They will make the wheels stick out more, moving them away from what they rub on. Just out of curiosity, how wide are the rims ? And what backspacing ? Stock specs would be perfect for a comparison.

The rims are too wide or have too much backspacing. You will either lose turning radius by limiting the turning angle somehow (not sure how the Escalade front axle + steering is) or you will have to add spacers on all wheels. I can't imagine the life of the bearings with such ridiculously sized rims...

I asked dad for more details on the pigeon goulash... They were all wild birds and it was a summer specialty, the pigeons had to be caught just before they started flying.

Fabrication question: On the recent boxes I have some seams which I want to fill with something for extra bonding. What can I use ? I thought about resin + finely chopped mat but it never comes out very consistent. Resin + sand ? Gelcoat + sand ? Resin + reinforced filler ? Needs to be applied by brush and it will sit in awkward positions so very free flowing is out of the question. The seam between the top and back of the enclosure is an example of where I need to apply a mixture of something. Some mat over that would work but there are way tighter spots where mat won't work.

Get that guy a cheeseburger. I was actually going to eat one at my favorite place, but it was closed. Haven't eaten there in years and NOW they were closed... If I am in front of the PC I can eat once a day. But when there is work to be done I'm like a rechargeable battery. I need my "charge". Amusingly...when I work I can cut down the number of meals.

Congrats! I'm amped for you and I hope it's better than the dream! Now comes the headaches of being a home owner I already own the shitbox trailer I live in so I know all about home maintance and all that shit. Work around the house never ends.

I use cheap superglue to attach the cloth. Works perfect and seems to get a decent bond to fiberglass.
