  1. I'll be playing with my 10KD this summer..............we shall see how good they really are A buddy of mine was close to buying a 16KD. Would have made a good test subject.
  2. The wiring or the method of getting the wire through the firewall ?
  3. Looks like a good way of getting the wire through the firewall. Poke through an existing rubber grommet, get the thin wire through, connect to the thick wire and pull it in.
  4. 4th year at the University, should be graduating this year. And went to a math / cs intensive high-school.
  5. And since I forgot to update the meter... It's changing direction a bit, going to make it portable / independent. Thanks to school and work my meter development time is almost inexistent
  6. Spam police FTW !
  7. Tried and tested is where it's at
  8. Seems like the spam bots have gotten 'smarter'. I've seen a smaller forum literally flooded by spam and it made it impossible to be read. Whenever you see a spam post, please report it so we can take care of it. Thanks !
  9. The board traces do not look strong enough. For instance, some Soundstreams had big problems with those, easily fixed though. The mosfets are "stressed" for the kind of power they should output. All in all, I would say they don't look as reliable as a Korean one.

  11. Alright Adrian... awhile back you were talking about how Stetsom amps are "10 second amps" what did you mean by that? are they just not stout enough... etc? I couldn't find your response and totally forgot about it. I hope you won't miss this one Board traces / construction, mosfets versus rated power, torroidal transformers...among others.
  12. Fucking spam bots are getting more clever. 10 point warning, just because they pissed me off
  13. Well, crap, my main SPL competitor just bought a DD 99Z12... Guess l have my work cut out for this season. For that fricking money I could buy a car
  14. That looks badass. Are you using neodymium magnets ?
  15. I should be graduating Computer Science this summer so I believe Engineering covers it. Ok, I'll make an appropriate post, in the *right* section, with all the questions.
  16. Canada isn't out of the discussion.
  17. I don't know. Coming from Europe... I'd pick the East Coast as it actual has a semblance of culture or history. Boston in particular is a hoot. If you are outdoor-zy further North Or a real city, like Chicago If CO, I recommend Boulder If it has to be CA, make it the Bay Area...or similar in Oregon. There is only one city in Texas and its Austin. Texans may say its not Texas though. Florida pretty much sucks North Carolina can be a win as well. The other thing you left off about the South is by far it has the laziest, most redneck, and despicable humans in the country. Avoid it like the plague. Worth a visit, but not a place to study. I'd also skip New York. If that is your thing, go to Tokyo instead. WAY better. The East coast is what I have heard is a good place for foreigner. But I don't feel I'm in a position to be very picky Now, if I manage to get some kind of scholarship AND do well in school, the big plan is to stay in the US and work in the field. But I don't know how that goes. Lots of unknowns for me, which is why I need to get my thoughts clear and ask some good questions.
  18. Aaron, if you want to go next year I'll make a pact and split a room with ya. I've been wishin' and hopin' and dreaming to go to CES for years. Mark and I plan to probably both go next year, maybe we can get a bunch of us together and get a schnazzy suite (ala hangover sans tiger). If only I could fly down there for CES Wonder how much it would cost. Not a horrible amount but visas and stuff are more of a problem. Maybe in a few years... This year I'm going to be looking for Master's scholarships across the pond. If you find anything in Texas interesting let me know and I'll do whatever I can for ya. Thanks MK ATM I need to formulate a couple good questions to help me start the search
  19. Fuck yeah, I am good. Knocked out the gesture detection project in an afternoon. It does nothing except detect some gestures, for instance you draw a "P" and it can detect it but it's just what I needed to finish a lab. :woot:
  20. Dry socket ? Wisdom teeth, pain and suckage. Crap...I want to pull mine out. Guess I'll stockpile on booze and get myself drunk if major pain comes along. What happens if you don't pull them out? I have one fully healed and no pain. And another on the way... One of mine grew towards the cheek, out of line with the others so it's a bit discomforting.
  21. Expired in 2009 as far as I can remember. Easy to renew it We don't need them for travel across Europe.
  22. I am. Too bad the fuckers are Eurosport don't show the trucks too much.
