  1. Tough to tell by DCR. Best option to check for shorted voice coils is to measure inductance. Duran, from any pics, it's hard to tell a bad solder joint or connection OP..is that extra board the one with the rca inputs and setting knobs ? Triple check the connectors and wires on that. I had an amp that was on and off erratically, turned out to be a bad wire in a plug. Look for any components that are not soldered in. I see a few integrated circuits on the sides, can't tell if they are soldered or on sockets.
  2. Rest in peace
  3. Same here. Would be awesome to keep it up until March
  4. You need to shake it with it turned on and connected. An improper joint at the driver board will not make sound when shaking it. If you feel so inclined, open it up, take a picture and I'll show you what components to check visually.
  5. And everyone here is eco-friendly...eff tree huggers...
  6. Apparently only one version is called eco-boost. I need to investigate further....
  7. Heard an ad on the radio today..."The new Ford Mondeo Ecoboost"....hmmm, would be nice to see an eco-boost but then the ad said "with a 2.0 turbo diesel engine". What trickery, the european eco-boost is a diesel
  8. LOL, one of my teachers looks just like Patrick Stewart. Spent a good part of the class today talking about pick-pocketing...
  9. I suspect something lose inside the amplifier, considering it goes into protect. Driver board maybe. RCA voltage will not put it into protect. Shake it and see what happens. I'd stop using it and find out what is wrong.
  10. Fixed. Not a bad idea at all
  11. I saw some comparison shit from Whirlpool and according to them, top loaders are more efficient, clean better, and last longer, but more people like the front load ease of removal, and they can make them quiter, plus they don't last as long, so people will buy more, hence the big move to front loaders. This was actually in some training literature from the company. Why would they even print this? IT just takes one pissed off employee to spread it. Front loaders > * And this is why : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=364dzVsBs2o
  12. Tempted to get a pair of SLS6's to replace the MLI's

  16. Fuck frost.
  17. Nice car ! The backseat on mine was a 3-seat too and also a 2-door What TDI version ? 130hp ?
  18. Greens. That's what I planned to buy for the jeep....yellow's are $$$ I had the Yellows first when I planned to track it, and they were pretty agressive for street use. I think they made a Red for street use too, but I was told the Green's were the most forgiving, and they worked really well. The Hawk Pads I had have all been very dusty, but the last pair I used on the GT was insane. I swear that car would pull a negative G stopping. They worked great with the Brembos. I read somewhere that the Yellows were dusty too. Maybe I'll just save up for a big brake kit or try to replicate a kit which uses 98 Explorer rotors and disks. Front only.. Since we are on the subject...which do you prefer: slotted, drilled or flat surface disks ? Slotted if you are into any kind of performance driving. For normal everday use, just use a standard rotor. Performance, no, it's a 4-banger diesel Jeep. Bigger tires or towing, maybe. So I'll stick to standard
  19. Brake top

  21. Twice as loud = 10dB increase (as far as I know) Twice the power = 3dB increase Hearing threshold = ~1dB 3db is actually twice the acoustic power, which is technically "twice as loud". I stand corrected then

  23. Ryan1, what EBC pads did you use ?
  24. Chrysler is obviously stupid...they want $20 for a quart of power steering fluid...
