Welcome to the IHoP v.2
And after that, big brakes on the Jeep. One of the pads is almost to metal, I don't care if they mess up the rotors or calipers, it's all crap.

Bodywork guy is on standby, I should've had the fenders, bumpers, interior and assorted shit from under the hood out by now but we pushed on hard with a new application for the meters. I'll probably take Monday off, strip the Miata and trailer it to him so he can get started.

That is one beautiful thing about jeeps, parts are abundant. Good score!Good Jeep calipers = $70 Benz S-Class calipers = $45 Picked up both yesterday and the Benz ones are lighter. Not much bigger but hooray 4-piston, the only bad part is I'm missing the pins which hold the pads and a metal clip. Should be cheap at the Benz dealer. Really curious on how the brakes feel after the upgrade. Going from 12" to 13" rotor, 2 46mm piston calipers to 4 piston (2 40mm, 2 44mm). After rotors and pads it's the same price as regular brakes. So win-win. And here I wanted it in the picture. See the shoe, but it is distant. Famous fishing trick to make your fish bigger.... Thanks Mike. I'll take a picture behind 17" rims once all is done

What I have to figure out before I start to install it (going to need an adapter plate) are brake hoses. 20 minutes from my house we have a company which builds brake hoses, brake lines and hydraulic hoses, so I'll run by them with a caliper and one of my old hoses.

Hey, you gave us no size reference. How big are those? What are they off? Calipers off a 2002 S-Class, rotors off a 2005-2010 Grand Cherokee, the one you liked, with ugly headlights, 13" diameter

What a stupid thing hit me today, if the diesel in the Grand ever dies, I could swap in a Benz V8, since I have a Benz trans.

Ish. Hope it clears up fast for you! On the plus side I quit smoking cold turkey 4 days ago, and have lost 12 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Congrats and good luck !

Ryan, how much do you want for the two subs? I'll get home this afternoon and try to see if they fit.

Added traction weight! It was fun pedalling 4 miles back home like that. Tail wind FTW ! I think they are overkill for the bike bro. I think they are overkill for the bike bro. Nice install Ardian!! <3 you guys ! No homo

I was hoping to avoid that. I just sent them an email, hopefully they reply in a timely manner. Two 10's are tempting if I can fit them. 5.5" mounting depth is no problem.

Ryan, any specs on the 90dolla10's? Or at least a recommended sealed box volume

I can't wait to see how the new brakes are. One more hurdle is figuring out the brake lines.

What do you have? I'm looking for new sub / subs 4 Fi 90dolla 10s. Specs ? I saw single 2 ohm coil, 350w. 2 would be perfect on the Zapco, in series, as long as I can fit them. Depth is not much of an issue.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Get your cheap wideband controllers here: http://www.14point7.com/ Found them by accident, they even have an open source wideband controller.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
That's just stupid good luck that dude still had it after a year. Vehicles are a labor of love for us to go though so much to get them how we want them. I can't see bigger brakes being a bad thing either. IF I pull the trigger on the painter I have lined up, I should have it done in 3-4 months. We stall see who wins as anything is possible. The body guy told me to call him after Easter (this weekend). I have to strip the car as much as I can to make it easier for him. A realistic goal for me would be to have it ready for paint before you finish painting it - Welcome to the IHoP v.2
