  1. I personally wouldn't trust a cheap DMM to measure rather accurately at other frequencies. so if i understand this correctly. youre sayin it doesnt matter where u set it, it will play the same at either frequency? If you had a resistive load, yes it would have the same voltage output, no matter the frequency within the amps specified bandwidth. A speaker is an reactive load, so the impedance will change across the bandwith a lot when playing test tones. Were both test tones of the same reference volume? Like both -3db, not something like the 50 hz tone at 0 db but the 35 hz tone at -6 db? But I'll look around too and see if I'm wrong. its just a question. somebody asked on another forum what tone to use and i said 50 or 60 and somebody else said u need to use the lowest frequency it will b producing. so im just askin the question, which 1 is rite? I don't understand the idea behind the 'lowest frequency it will be producing', because that way you'd have to set it at some absurd frequency. IMO, you should do it with your ears. Your ears should tell you when you are clipping the amp or sending the subwoofer too much power.
  2. Zapco DC1000.4 on german ebay. Would be awesome to sell the 9813 in time and snag the amp. *sigh*
  3. Why not use 1 per door ? They should sound wicked in decently deadened doors.
  4. Well in the future would you mind spelling your words correctly, we are trying to get everyone on the forum to use correct spelling and grammar so we can all better understand each other and make each topic much more effective. Updated for clarification. As there are plenty of other sites out there that are more fitting for people who cannot communicate normally. do i have to go ?
  5. Good luck dude !
  6. I've got a bit over that in scrap steel. Stupid me, last year the price of scrap was higher and I didn't sell it.
  7. Who, who ?
  8. If you are going for a 3-way front stage + sub you will have to 'cut' a corner, like using the crossover on the sub amp (and the midbass signal for the sub) and losing some time alignment options you can get away with a head unit like the Alpine 9887 or the Pioneer P880. Otherwise you are stuck to buying an external processor, Alpine H701 (used) and Audison BitOne are the first 2 I can think of that have a 4-way crossover.
  9. The sundown sax's will already allow you to cross the speakers actively.
  10. Ahhh, both head units up for sale
  11. It's been warm and sunny here for the past weeks. Cold in the morning / evening but downright awesome during the day. Wish it would be like this for another month. *sigh*
  12. Yeah, unamplified. It had a bad connexion aparently. Bad part is it's in the attic, so up the ladder, add one more cable, down the ladded to the computer.
  13. Fawk, the internet / tv coaxial cable spliiter is iffy

  15. Happy birthday Ryan3 ! ! !
  16. I got to ride in a v12 tdi Touareg, felt like it had limitless power. I thought I rode in the V10 TDI. It was indeed a V10 No V12 in the Touareg.

  20. C43, wtf for a lot of cars on the list
  21. Still haven't had time to do some more tests on the midrange enclosures
  22. A couple minutes after somebody says he's interrested in my hu I tell him the price and he instantly said he just bought one $100 cheaper. LOL
  23. Well they said 86% @ 4 ohms at 100Hz is bad, and showed me these.. I was surprised myself. Im planning on 2 BTLs so I was counting on 2 of the other amps listed, I want 2kw rms atleast on each. So the 4500D is perfect right? 2 ohms on the subs, 1ohm at the amp. I'm curious who said 86% efficiency is bad.....maybe they have some 95+% efficienct amps, not.
  24. Joo no wub me ?
  25. Sporting the SSA sticker at the competition this weekend Installation judging, yeah fuckers, I have PB board to show you everything is under the window line 147.3, new personal best. And a 147.7 in the free runs when everything was over. Pics were taken by some other competitor, so the sticker pic isn't intentional.
